End of school year fun

I hope that all of you are enjoying your summer.  For me it’s already going by so fast.  Today I thought I would share just a couple of things from the end of the school year.

First I’m now the proud mother of a High School Graduate.  I’m so proud of my son and his accomplishment.  Thanks to Stampin’ Up! celebrating his accomplishment was easy to share with others.  This is the cute announcement I made to send out to our friends and family.   Using  “My Digital Studio”  made it super easy especially with the cute layout they had designed.  I just changed it a bit to fit my needs and pictures.  I used the Embark Graduate #133467 $12.95.  I of course changed the colors to my son’s school.  I also used it to make easy decorations for his graduation party.

Here’s a couple of quick pictures of the fun banner along with the cards he received from family and friends.

Graduation Decorations

I also made this fun banner for to hang up at the party.  I supper excited to have these banners back.  I loved them in the holiday catalog and have had so much fun creating banners with them to celebrate all sorts of things.

Horray Banner

I also have to share the amazing cake my son made for him.  He may not be stamping (although he’s good at that too when he wants to) but he must get a little talent from Mom right.  He’s definitely got a knack for it that’s for sure.  I’m so glad he’s willing to help Mom out.

Here’s just a few pictures celebrating the big day.  I’m still not quite sure how he’s old enough to graduate because I’m not old enough, but we sure are proud of him.  I was luck enough to have my other son in the band so he was able to sit right down front and get pictures for me.

Zack Graduation

Me & Zack Graduation

While my older three boys are all in upper level schools with many teachers, my youngest is still in elementary so I wanted to make something special for his awesome teacher.

I thought that teachers can always use cards so I made this cute card holder and filled it with fun hand-stamped cards.

20140530_085952

I think it roughly holds about 15 cards.  Here’s a little closer look at the tag.  I seriously love this tag punch and I’m so glad it’s in the new catalog.  You’ll also noticed that I used a bran new stamp set on this fun project.  One of the great parts of being a demonstrator is being able to pre-order new products including new stamp sets, accessories and even in-colors.  Plus we get the catalog a whole month early to enjoy looking through.

20140530_085934

I also wanted a fun little gift for all the kids so I made them each a book-marker to help them remember to keep reading this summer.  Now I know this one used a retired stamp and I’m sad that these in-colors are gone (however I’m totally loving the new ones), but I thought he was just to cute not to use and the kids would love it.  I did use the hello from the new photoplymer set Endless Birthday Wishes.  This set has already sold out once so be sure to get yours before they are gone.

20140613_110734

Here’s my cute little one with his teacher.  We are sad that she won’t be his teacher anymore she was awesome, but I’m sure he’ll have yet another great teacher as he moves into 2nd grade.

20140530_115637

Thanks for letting me share a few proud moments with you.  I hope you all have a great summer with lots of Stampin’.  Be watching for all the fun summer events I have coming up.  Summer is also a great time to get together with your friends for a little stampin’ fun.  I’d love to help you out.  Just give me a call and we’ll set up a date.

PS.  I have new catalogs so be sure to come to one of my events and get yours.

Happy Mother’s Day!

I hope all of you are enjoyed your Mother’s Day.  I’m spent my Mother’s Day weekend with my husband and friends in Moab, Utah running the Red Rock Relay.  I did it last year and had so much fun.  Once again we had a great time.

Red Rock 2014

I wanted to share with you real quick the project we made last month for our monthly club.

Mother's Day Box

Each club member was able to make this adorable mother’s day gift box perfect for that special gift for mom.  The box was made using the envelope punch board.  Yes this board is great for so much more then just making envelopes.

Mother's Day Box Open

To make the box I started with an 8×8 piece of paper.  I used the punch board and lined my paper at the 5 then punched and scored.  Afterwards I moved it to the 3 and punched and scored again. I repeated this on each side of the paper.  Once I was done with that I used the corner rounder on the top to round all my edges.  Last you will want to flip the paper over and use your score board to score the center marks on each of the corners.  This is the part that you can see folded in.  This is also where I placed the glue to hold the box together.  You don’t need to do this only if you want the box to stay together withouth the belly band.  In the picture below I’ve drawn in the score lines so you can see them.

Envelope Punchboard Box instructions

I finished the box off with a fun belly band.  You’ll notice that our box matches the cute card that was available to make in the card buffet.

Mother's Day Flower Card

Here’s a close up of the cute belly band and the flowers that pop.  I finished the flowers off with a little pearl in the middle.  I love how they look.  Remember to use your bond folder to curl your flowers and give them more dimension.

Belly Band Flowers close up.

I hope you had fun sharing projects with your mother this mother’s day.  I love sharing handcrafted projects with my Mom as well as family and friends.

Would you love to see my work at Convention?

Hey everyone would you love to see my work displayed at Convention this year?  Would you love to see fun projects out to new products?  Then let Stampin’ Up! know by leaving a comment of which projects you love of mine.  I’m showing just a few of my favorites, but I’d love to know what you love.

First for a few of my favorite cards:

Follow My Heart Card

Blast Off Birthday Card

. Alligator Banner CardOf course I have lots more favorites, but these are some of my more resent ones.

Next how about a scrapbook page.  Now most of you know that I love digital.  However I am excited to get started with the new Project Life that I just ordered.  I’m loving the idea of getting all those pictures sitting in boxes onto pages.  However I thought I would share one of my favorite Digital scrapbook pages.  This one is one a made a while back, but I still love it.

Disney Album-001

To top it off lets share a couple of my favorite 3D projects.  3D projects are actually one of my favorite things to create.  I just love seeing what I can make out of paper and our products.

First is my banner.  I loved the banner kits in the holiday catalog because it made these so easy.

20131112_203640

Next I’d like to highlight my Christmas Tag box.  I love these treat boxes.  It’s so easy to make simple gifts with Stampin’ Up! products.  This was one of my favorite projects from my Crazy for Christmas projects.

Christmas Cheer Box

Once again if you’d love to see more of my work at Convention this year leave a comment with your favorite projects.  I’d love to know anyway.  Bonus points if you put the link.

I hope you enjoyed some of my favorites.  Remember you can share some of your creations on my facebook page.  I’d love to see them.

Hoppy Easter Carrot Treat

I hope you all have an enjoyable Easter no matter what way you spend it.  I enjoy spending the day at church with my family reflecting on the beautiful gift of forgiveness the savior has given me.  I also enjoyed watching my children hunt for eggs and jumping on the new tramp followed by time with the extended family and yummy food.

Easter Carrot

Today I thought I would share with you a fun little Easter treat.  This one is so easy to may.  It’s created with the scallop circle die.  You could also use the circle fram-lits as the also have a large scallop circle.  After cutting the scallop circle emboss it with your favorite texture folder.   Next roll it into a cone shape an hold together with a little ribbon.  To finish it off I added some great paper that I cut just the edge in strips (the new fringe scissors would work perfect for this, but I don’t have them yet.)  Last I added a little bit of candy.  This treat is quick any easy and so fun to make as a cute gift.  It’s even easy enough that you can make it with the kids as a fun Easter craft.

Birthday Bow Card & Gifts

Today is my Birthday and what better way to celebrate then with a fun Birthday card.

I love this card because it’s so simple and easy.  The cute bow was made with the Envelope punch board.  One of the special projects my club members learned how to create.  The tag is so easy to create using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, one of my favorite products from the occasions catalog and simply a must have for any stamper or even no stamper for a quick tag.

Birthday Bow Card

I realized I never showed you the full pictures of the projects from Club that featured this fun bow technique.  The first one used the scallop Tag Topper Punch again this time to create a fun little package that you could stick a treat in like lotion or something yummy.  This could be used for a Birthday gift or just because.

Good Thoughts Bow Package

The next project is on one of our Decorative Window gift Boxes once again decorated with the cute paper bow.  This time it is attached with a cute belly band that can be slipped off to revel a fun treat or gift.

Birthday Bow Box

I really love these bows they are so easy to make and perfect for almost any gift project.  Make them out of your favorite Designer Series Paper for a world of possibilities.
