Watercolor Winter Simply Created Card Kit Fun

I had a wonderful time at Stampin’ Up! Convention and I will be posting fun news and pictures about it soon. But first I wanted to share with you the project I’ve been working on today. At Convention I attended a specialty class where we were able to play with the new Watercolor Winter Simply Created Card Kit. I loved this class and getting to work with the watercolor projects. I came home and just had to finish all the cute cards. Now while I can’t show you the cute Card Kit or Stamp set yet I can share with you the finished project which is way better anyway right?

So here’s what I came with. The kit comes with enough stuff to make 5 each of 4 different designs, however I didn’t want the same cards so I decided to see what else I could make with it. As you can see there is so much you can do with this kit and I still have stuff left over.

Water Color Winter Cards

So I thought I would showcase up close one of my favorites. It’s kind of hard to see but the white has a fun would texture background. Just so you know all these cards were created using just what comes in the kit along with adhesive and ink. The stamp set is sold separately as well it’s called Watercolor Winter Too. July 2014 Stampin’ Buffet

I had so much fun creating the cards for this months Stampin’ Buffet. Some are straight from the catalog, some are repeats and some are from friends, but a lot are my own creations. I love it when I have time to stamp and just get in that creative mode. Do you ever get in that mode where you feel like you could just keep creating forever. Usually I end up getting interrupted by the demands of being a Mom, but at least I got some quality me time first.

Father’s Day- Paper Pumpkin to the rescue

So life has been crazy as usual, and Father’s day came before I knew it. Thankfully Paper Pumpkin was able to rescue me. This cute kit had everything I need to make a cute Father’s Day card and more.

How cute is this kit? I just love it. Just so you know I have an extra one if anyone is interested let me know. It’s just 19.95. Now if you know me I don’t usually do what they show because I usually want to have a little fun and give you some different ideas you can do with your kit. Here are the fun projects I came up with.

I actually made two of the Father’s Day cards, but I gave one to my Dad and one to my husband so I only had one left for the picture. I didn’t use the blue and green tags on all my cards instead I incorporated the new “Be the Star” stamp set and added some of my own paper. I ended up using the extra tags to make this cute banner to celebrate Dad.

I also came up with these two fun Birthday gift containers using the same color scheme and of course the fun stamp sets from the Paper Pumpkin kit. I even used the “Be the Star” set and matching framelits.

Today I received the new June kit in the mail. How cute is this! I love the pin wheels and can’t wait to make them. I have two kits so be sure to attend my Stampin’ Buffet this month for your chance to make one. I just got it so I haven’t figured out the full project yet, but I’m sure you will love it. Happy Mother’s Day!

I hope all of you are enjoyed your Mother’s Day. I’m spent my Mother’s Day weekend with my husband and friends in Moab, Utah running the Red Rock Relay. I did it last year and had so much fun. Once again we had a great time.

I wanted to share with you real quick the project we made last month for our monthly club.

Each club member was able to make this adorable mother’s day gift box perfect for that special gift for mom. The box was made using the envelope punch board. Yes this board is great for so much more then just making envelopes.

To make the box I started with an 8×8 piece of paper. I used the punch board and lined my paper at the 5 then punched and scored. Afterwards I moved it to the 3 and punched and scored again. I repeated this on each side of the paper. Once I was done with that I used the corner rounder on the top to round all my edges. Last you will want to flip the paper over and use your score board to score the center marks on each of the corners. This is the part that you can see folded in. This is also where I placed the glue to hold the box together. You don’t need to do this only if you want the box to stay together withouth the belly band. In the picture below I’ve drawn in the score lines so you can see them.

I finished the box off with a fun belly band. You’ll notice that our box matches the cute card that was available to make in the card buffet.

Here’s a close up of the cute belly band and the flowers that pop. I finished the flowers off with a little pearl in the middle. I love how they look. Remember to use your bond folder to curl your flowers and give them more dimension.

Hoppy Easter Carrot Treat

I hope you all have an enjoyable Easter no matter what way you spend it. I enjoy spending the day at church with my family reflecting on the beautiful gift of forgiveness the savior has given me. I also enjoyed watching my children hunt for eggs and jumping on the new tramp followed by time with the extended family and yummy food.

Easter Carrot

Today I thought I would share with you a fun little Easter treat. This one is so easy to may. It’s created with the scallop circle die. You could also use the circle fram-lits as the also have a large scallop circle. After cutting the scallop circle emboss it with your favorite texture folder. Next roll it into a cone shape an hold together with a little ribbon. To finish it off I added some great paper that I cut just the edge in strips (the new fringe scissors would work perfect for this, but I don’t have them yet.) Last I added a little bit of candy. This treat is quick any easy and so fun to make as a cute gift. It’s even easy enough that you can make it with the kids as a fun Easter craft.
