Fall & Halloween Cards

This month I had the chance to help with some of the cards for our annual Queen’s of the Stampin’ Age Group meeting.  I designed lots of fun fall and Halloween cards and then we picked four of them for everyone to make at the group meeting.  We made a total of 24 cards plus a fun bonus project.  You can check out all the other cards we got to make under samples or by clicking here.

Fall Embossed LeafFall Embossed Leaf

This was one of the cards picked to make.  I love that the leaf is embossed and the wood piece was made with the Big Shot and the texture dies.

Spooky Eyes- ClosedSpooky Eyes

Spooky Eyes- OpenThis card was one of my favorites.  I used the window sheets on the back of the circles so I could put the eye on it then when you open it up it says BOO with the cute little pumpkins.  This was other card that they got to make.  I also loved how simple it was.

Spider CardSpider Card

I love our punches and this card shows it.   This cute little spider will brighten anyone’s day.  Yet another fun card everyone got to make.

Circle EEKCircle Eek

I saw this card on a blog and just had to create it.  I changed the colors, but I love the idea.  You could use it for so many different kinds of cards.  What a great way to use all of our circle punches.  I also love it because it only uses paper so it’s easy to mail and very inexpensive to make.

Pumpkin TowerPumpkin Tower

Here was another idea that I cased from someone.  Sorry I don’t remember where I found the idea.  I just love these pumpkins.

Pumpkin PatchPumpkin Patch

More pumpkins.  I told you I loved them.  This is another cute card that I cased.

Our patch to yoursOur Patch to yours

This great card is actually the card from September’s month card kit.

Pumpkin PilePumpkin Pile

Here’s another card from the Monthly card kit.  For more information on my monthly kits click here.

Pumpkin TreatsPumpkin Treats

This was our bonus project.  We each got  yummy candy bar to put in the back.  It’s so easy to make you could make one for all your friends this Halloween.  It is also the project of the month for September.  It makes a great gift.  You can still order any of the September kits so just let me know.

Club Sept 1 Happy TogetherHappy Together

You may recognize this card as it was from club last month.

Club Sept 2 Give ThanksGive Thanks

This was the last card that we got to make.  You may recognize it as well as it was last months club card.  After club I just had to have this set.   Now I love it.  The Give Thanks comes from a level one hostess set.

Now is a great time to host a party.  We can even make one of these great cards.  October and November has bonus hostess gifts so give me a call today at 435-512-5321 (cell) or drop me an e-mail at andersoncandice@hotmail.com.  Call soon because my dates are booking up fast.

Amy’s Meeting

This weekend was spent with my fun stampin’ friends at Amy Johnson’s Annual meeting.   We had a great time.  I learned so much as I always do so be watching for some fun new ideas.  Plus there were some really fabulous swaps.  I will get things posted soon.  I need to download the pictures.  I just wanted to give you a little heads up and say thank you to all the wonderful presenters and to Amy for putting on such an inspirational meeting.  I love being part of a group that has so much support.  If you want to learn more about joining my group give me a call 435-245-5321.

Technique Tuesday 3-24-09

birthday-flowers-heat-stickThis is the swap that Brandi made for her meeting.  I really love how she used heat and stick powder to make the flowers sparkle.

Heat and stick powder is really quite easy to use.  If you have ever heat embossed than you know how to use heat and stick powder you just need to add two more steps.

First you need to stamp your image.  If you are using the dazzling diamonds heat and stick like on this card then you would want to stamp with a craft ink pad so that it stays sticky.

Next you need to pour on the heat and stick powder just like you would embossing powder.  Be sure to use the powder pals for easy clean up and to be able to put your left overs back in the bottle.  Once you’ve covered your project shake off the excess and tap the back to make sure you have removed all the extra powder.

Now you are ready to heat the powder.  Just heat it up with your heat gun.  You will see it start to melt just like you do with the embossing powder.

Once you have melted the heat and stick powder you are ready for your glitter.  Simply sprinkle the glitter over the heat and stick powder.  Use a another powder pal for this.

After you have applied the glitter re-heat the image for a few seconds just to set the heat and stick powered.

That’s it your done.  You’ve added a fun sparkle to your stamped image.  I encourage you to give it a try today.
