Delightful Daisy Suite

I wanted to share one of my favorite new suites the Delightful Daisy Suite.  I love this new suite and the punch.  I’m looking forward to making my own vase of daisies.  You can find the suite on pages 126-127 of the annual catalog.

I saw this design on Pinterest and thought it would be perfect for the Delightful Daisy Suite.  It’s a perfect way to show case all the fun designer series paper.  Colors used – Daffodil Delight, Blushing Bride, Old Olive & Whisper White.

I also saw this idea on Pinterest different words but I loved the idea of stamping in on the letters.  I created this around Mother’s day but I fell like there are many times that we can let our mothers know how grateful we are for them.  Colors used – Daffodil Delight, Fresh Fig & Whisper White.

Eastern Palace Suite

We were able to pre-order some products from the catalog so I’ve had some time to play with them.  I hope you enjoy these samples.  They also feature some of the new in-colors.

Here’s some samples that I’ve created with my pre-order and I’m having a difficult time trying to decided what I want to order first now that I can order anything from the new catalog.  I would love to hear what your favorite new items are from the catalog.  All of these samples were created using the new Eastern Palace Suite on pages 18-19 of the new catalog.

This first one is my own creation.  I was struggling with this set so I spent time on-line to get other ideas.  A big thanks to everyone who is willing to share.

The next two were cases from other talented demonstrators.  I’m grateful for all the wonderful samples that others are willing to share for all of us.  I hope you will enjoy my twist on these fun projects.  Sorry I don’t have there names to give them credit, but I do thank them.   For this card I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies to create the circles in the center project.

This last card is created by using the aqua painter to brush ink on watercolor paper.  This is then allowed to show through the intricate designs of the Easter Palace Suites dies.  These dies are fun because there are so many different designs you can make from the few designs just by mixing and matching them.

Valentine’s Day Fun

Hey everyone did you miss me?  Sorry it’s been so long wasn’t what I had planed but sometimes life gets in the way.  I’ll explain all of that in a post soon but today I wanted to share with you the cute Valentines we made for my kiddos classes.

I knew from the minute I saw this stamp set in the occassions catalog that I wanted to use it for valentines and my kids happened to pick the perfect treat to go with it.  I loved how they turned out.  It was really easy I used a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of paper and it’s scored in the center at 5″, 5 1/2″ and 6″.  I then folded it into the center to give it some dimension and room for the sucker.  I used a 1/2″ circle punch on the fold to create the whole for the succor.  Hopefully this photo gives you the idea of what I tried to explain.

Monster Valentine Base

I love that Stampin’ Up! gives me the opportunity to spend time with my kids while creating fun and unique valentines for their friends.  I enjoyed teaching them how to use the new watercolor pencils and watching their faces light up when I showed them the magic of blending the colors with the blender pens.  Just a quick note these are going fast they already sold out of the first shipment and had to put them on back order and they expect to sell out of the rest of them quickly so be sure to get your soon.

Here the fun completed project I hope you think they turned out as cute as I did.  Just a note I used the framelites die from the Paisleys set to cut out the center I found it was easiest to attach my white colored monster first then run it through the big shot.  It cut through both layers with no problem and created the perfect whole for our succors.

Many of you may have seen posts on Facebook recently with the hashtag #‎imbringingbirthdaysback‬ . I’m excited to join in this fun movement and hope you will join it with me.  First for those of you who don’t know the movement: bringing back a card in the mail rather than just a text or greeting on Facebook, while those are great it’s so nice to get a card in the mail.

This is a one sheet wonder class where you will use the amazing papers in the the “It’s my party Designer Series Paper Stack.” You’ll use one sheet to make these 12 amazing cards.  (Note picture shows 2 different papers so you can see that the design works with both the light and dark colors in the paper stack.)  You’ll have enough paper to create 8 sets and still have more designer paper left

Important MDS information

I’m still really sad about MDS being discontinued.  Remember today is the last day that you can order and of the downloads before they are gone.  Also remember to make sure you download your downloads and save them by June 9th.

Below is some information that Stampin’ Up! has provided us with about a program that you can use by the same developer, this program will allow you to print your projects.  There is also download information.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

As a general reminder:

  • June 2 is the last day to buy downloads or place print orders with the 30 percent discount. After June 2, Stampin’ Up! will no longer sell anything related to the My Digital Studio product line.
  • On June 2, all Online Store categories will be replaced with new categories in support of the 2015-2016 annual catalog. The new categories will contain new and carryover items in the 2015-2016 annual catalog. All other items, including the MDS software and digital downloads, will be searchable and orderable, but not categorized.
  • June 9 is the last day that Stampin’ Up! will support the My Digital Studio product line. After June 9, all of the MDS websites will be taken down. That list includes MyDigitalStudio.net, related content on the stampinup.com demonstrator website, the download manager, YouTube videos, Facebook, and Pinterest.
  • Make sure that you download and back up your digital downloads and software before June 9. For help with backing up files, see MyDigitalStudio.net/backup.
  • All of Stampin’ Up!’s digital downloads will be discontinued, including everything related to MDS, convention and leadership theme songs, photos, class recordings, and all of our other online classes. You will want to make sure to back up all of your digital download files before the cutoff on June 9.

MyMemories Suite Offer

Software

We have worked with excellent partners to make the My Digital Studio product line. We’re pleased to announce that StoryRock, the partner who worked with us to develop the MDS software, has made an offer to Stampin’ Up!’s customers and demonstrators. Some MDS users may know that the original MDS software was based on StoryRock’s award-winning MyMemories Suite software. While the two softwares have diverged over the years, there are still many similarities–which we feel confident will enable MDS users to experience an easy transition to MyMemories Suite.

MyMemories version 6 software is normally available for $39.99 USD, but StoryRock has cut the price to $19.99 USD for anyone who purchases the software via this special offer. See more details about the offer here.

Print

Starting on June 3, StoryRock will make a number of additional print products available through the latest version of the MyMemories software. Stampin’ Up! has worked with StoryRock to introduce some of our most popular print products, like additional card, photobook, and calendar options and sizes. We will post a detailed list of those products and StoryRock’s prices on MyDigitalStudio.net on June 3.

Artwork

While Stampin’ Up! will not sell any digital downloads after June 2, we have reached an agreement with StoryRock to offer a limited number of our existing digital downloads for sale via a Stampin’ Up! section of the MyMemories.com online store. You can expect to see a limited selection of digital downloads appearing on the MyMemories.com online store over the next few months. The price for downloads through the MyMemories.com online store may vary, but it will definitely be in your best interest to purchase the downloads available through Stampin’ Up! at a 30 percent discount until they are no longer available after June 2.

This content will not be new to you, but it will give you and your customers the opportunity to catch additional digital downloads you may have wanted and missed while our digital downloads were available for sale. You will not receive commissionable sales for purchases made for print products or for any of the artwork available in the MyMemories.com online store.

Do I need to switch to MyMemories Suite?

Stampin’ Up! will no longer support the MDS software after June 9, 2015. MDS will continue to work on existing computers for the foreseeable future. However, you will no longer be able to print directly from MDS after June 2, and it is very probable that the software will not work with the upcoming Windows PC and Mac operating systems. It is also possible that other critical component updates like Java may cause the software to stop working as intended.

In short, if you would like to continue with digital design on a supported platform, we recommend that you switch to the latest version of MyMemories Suite. MyMemories Suite consistently rates very high, we know and recommend the developers, and as we have mentioned, it is very similar to MDS. Stampin’ Up! will not provide support for switching your MDS projects and files over to MyMemories Suite, but StoryRock will be more than happy to help.
