Freewheeling Friday 2-13-09

Today was Friday the 13th, but for me it’s usually a good day. Once again that proved to be true. Today I was able to go to the shoebox swap that my up-line Brandi was having. I love it when I can get together with other demonstrators and Stamp. It’s so much fun to visit and get new ideas.

This was one of the 19 cards we got to make. I loved how we used the roller on the flower from the pretties kit. What fun. I also love all the texture in the card. (Texture plates on card-stock and textured DSP.) I think the project was created by Becky.

Wacky Wednesday 2-11-09

So today was club and I decided to make each member a cute little Valentine. The projects we were making would take a bit of time so this time I made this little gift for each of them before hand. I hope the know how much I appreciate each of them.

This is a sample that we made for one of my parties. They loved it. The heart is made using the Big Shot Petal Card and folding up the two bottom ones to make a pocket. I saw this idea at leadership and loved it.

Stampin’ Sunday 2-8-09

So I just got the new Circle Scissor Plus. I had fun playing it. You will really love this new cutter. Here is just one of the cards that I made. Freewheeling Friday 2-6-09

This is a card we made at Amy Johnson’s meeting last spring. I think it was created by Brandi Barnard. I think it’s really cute and could be used for many different occasions. The background was easily created using the Stampin’ Around® Wheel.

Wacky Wednesday 2-4-09

So I got a fun package from the UPS man today. It was my order with some of the fun new products. I got the new cutter bee circle cutter and some new stuff for the big shot. Of course I just had to try it out. My son actually gave me the perfect opportunity. His Birthday is in the middle of summer when life is usually crazy so I told him we could have a 1/2 Birthday party instead. We are planning for Friday night so I made him these cute cards to invite his friends. His favorite color is blue so of course I had to use the in-color Pacific point. Plus I had to try out my new toys.

I really loved putting the texture on the Bold cupcakes. The frosting has the swirl plate and the cake has the polk-a-dot. Then I used the directly to paper technique to get a little ink on them and really make them pop. I loved how it turned out. I really loved using the circle cutter. It was so fast and easy. I can’t wait to try it for more projects.

I did learn that I need to cut out the items with the big shot and then run the texture on them otherwise the pressure of cutting it just smooths it back out again. Anyway I had lots of fun and my son loved them so I hope you like it too.
