Thrifty Thursday 1-29-09

In todays times we need to make our dollars stretch as much as we can. That’s why I love this project and 3×3 cards. We made at Janice’s meeting.

You can get 8 cards out of just one sheet of 12 x 12 paper. This box is made with just a 1/2 of a sheet of 12 x 12 paper. Each card uses just a tiny bit of dSP. You can make 32 cards with just one sheet of paper. They are fast and simple to make. I love that they are easy and so nice to have on had when you need a quick note for a gift or just to show you care. For a fun gift you can make the box and put 4 cards in it with envelops. It’s easy and fast but someone will really feel special when they receive it.

Marvelous Monday 1-26-09

We always get to do a fun make and take at leadership. This year I really loved what we got to make because it all coordinated together. It is part of our retro fresh style watch. It uses the fun new stamp set Good Friend #113740 $28.95. It also uses the On board So Tweet #113893 $14.95 and the DSP Good Morning Sunshine #113966 $9.95.

We made a fun box that slides out and holds these great mini tags.

Plus we made 3 fun cards. They are 5 1/4 square cards that fit in our square envelops. I love this great big size.

Everything fits nicely in the fun carrying case. Arent’ the birds just so cute.

I’m considering offering this as a class. I haven’t decided on a date yet, but if you are interested please let me know and I will get one figured out. The class would include everything you need to make all three projects plus you would get all the extras. You would get 1/2 of the designers series paper and 1/2 of the chipboard. I would also include the stamp set. This class could easily be done at home as well and I would include full color instructions. The cost would be $55.00 (including the stamp set). Swapping Saturday 1-24-09

Freewheeling Friday 1-23-09

This card is really fun because when you pll the string it pops up and you can set it on your counter. I’m not sure who came up with the original design, but I made this card at one of Janice’s Club nights.

It features the Big Bold Birthday set #114926 $28.95. I’m really excited because now they have a Stampin’ Up! exclusive Sizzlits’ 4-pack dies for the Big shot that match this great set 114509 $21.95. I can’t wait to get it and try it out. What fun we can have.

If you look close you can see the wheel that was rolled on the basic part of the card to create a background. (red part) Wheels are a really great way to add a little depth to a project. They are so fast and easy.

Wacky Wednesday 1-21-09

This was a swap that I got at Brandi’s meeting. I thought it was a really cute idea. It’s something fun a different so I thought it fit with Wacky Wednesday.

I love how they used to popcicle stick and how they have the worm inside the apple. I just think it’s cute.

Stampin’ Sunday 1-18-09

They have announced the Artisan Award Contest again so I’ve been thinking a lot about what I wanted to do. This is a contest for any demonstrator who just wants to show off her stuff. I like this contest because it’s based solely on your creativity so it’s great for anyone who got into Stampin’ Up! because they love to create and they aren’t working it as a business, but it’s also great for people like me who works the business and sometimes needs a little push to get the creative juices flowing.

I have entered this contest every year since they started it. This will be my third year. I haven’t one yet, but I have had several of my items featured on the demonstrator website as well as at Convention. I love seeing my things displayed and I love knowing that they liked something I did.

So for this Swapping Sunday I though I would share the projects I made for the last 2 years. I can’t share this year’s with you until after the contest (because of the rules.) But i figured I could share the old ones with you. Although some of the product is retired now I thought they still might inspire you.
