End of school year fun

I hope that all of you are enjoying your summer.  For me it’s already going by so fast.  Today I thought I would share just a couple of things from the end of the school year.

First I’m now the proud mother of a High School Graduate.  I’m so proud of my son and his accomplishment.  Thanks to Stampin’ Up! celebrating his accomplishment was easy to share with others.  This is the cute announcement I made to send out to our friends and family.   Using  “My Digital Studio”  made it super easy especially with the cute layout they had designed.  I just changed it a bit to fit my needs and pictures.  I used the Embark Graduate #133467 $12.95.  I of course changed the colors to my son’s school.  I also used it to make easy decorations for his graduation party.

Here’s a couple of quick pictures of the fun banner along with the cards he received from family and friends.

I also made this fun banner for to hang up at the party.  I supper excited to have these banners back.  I loved them in the holiday catalog and have had so much fun creating banners with them to celebrate all sorts of things.

Horray Banner

I also have to share the amazing cake my son made for him.  He may not be stamping (although he’s good at that too when he wants to) but he must get a little talent from Mom right.  He’s definitely got a knack for it that’s for sure.  I’m so glad he’s willing to help Mom out.

Here’s just a few pictures celebrating the big day.  I’m still not quite sure how he’s old enough to graduate because I’m not old enough, but we sure are proud of him.  I was luck enough to have my other son in the band so he was able to sit right down front and get pictures for me.

While my older three boys are all in upper level schools with many teachers, my youngest is still in elementary so I wanted to make something special for his awesome teacher.

I thought that teachers can always use cards so I made this cute card holder and filled it with fun hand-stamped cards.

I think it roughly holds about 15 cards.  Here’s a little closer look at the tag.  I seriously love this tag punch and I’m so glad it’s in the new catalog.  You’ll also noticed that I used a bran new stamp set on this fun project.  One of the great parts of being a demonstrator is being able to pre-order new products including new stamp sets, accessories and even in-colors.  Plus we get the catalog a whole month early to enjoy looking through.

I also wanted a fun little gift for all the kids so I made them each a book-marker to help them remember to keep reading this summer.  Now I know this one used a retired stamp and I’m sad that these in-colors are gone (however I’m totally loving the new ones), but I thought he was just to cute not to use and the kids would love it.  I did use the hello from the new photoplymer set Endless Birthday Wishes.  This set has already sold out once so be sure to get yours before they are gone.

Here’s my cute little one with his teacher.  We are sad that she won’t be his teacher anymore she was awesome, but I’m sure he’ll have yet another great teacher as he moves into 2nd grade.

Thanks for letting me share a few proud moments with you.  I hope you all have a great summer with lots of Stampin’.  Be watching for all the fun summer events I have coming up.  Summer is also a great time to get together with your friends for a little stampin’ fun.  I’d love to help you out.  Just give me a call and we’ll set up a date.

PS.  I have new catalogs so be sure to come to one of my events and get yours.

Club October 2009

If you missed club this month you missed a very fun and cool project.  This month I showed my club members how to use the new Shimmer Paints in the Mini Catalog.  These are so awesome and so much fun.  I showed them two fun ways to use this awesome paint.  The first is applying the paint to your stamps using a sponge dauber and then stamping as usual.  It gives a really fun look to your project.  The next way is by spraying it on.  To do this you need to fill a 2 oz spray bottle (I got mine in the travel section) with rubbing alcohol and then adding about 12 drops of shimmer paint.  I bought one bottle for each of the three colors.  They actually go a long way so they could last quite a while.  To apply all you do is shake it good and then spray it on.  The alcohol helps it to try pretty fast.

Goblins Card- Club Oct '09So here is the first card that we made.  We spritzed the whole card base first and we stamped on the black section behind the words.  The idea was inspired by a card that I got from our swap at Brandi’s meeting it was made by Kathrine and it was actually the winning swap.

10-09 Goblins PageHere are the matching pages that my scrapbookers were able to make.  The black part is spritzed on both pages.  The cards and the pages used the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint.

Halloween SparkleOur second card was a card that my friend Ashley made for the swap.  I just loved this card and had to use it.  We used the White Shimmer Paint for this one.  I just love the sparkle it adds to the card.

Mummy EyesWe also made a bonus project.  This card was my card swap for Brandi’s meeting.  I used the window sheets to create the eyes.

10-09- Mummy Eyes OpenHere is what the card looks like on the inside.  It uses the fun pumpkin patch set from the mini catalog.

Butterfly Box SideHow fun is this to fill with treats and give to a friend.  Remember if you are invited to Angela’s party and want to make this you need to let her know or send me an e-mail so I can bring a kit for you.

Circle Circus Explode Box

Circle Circus Explode Box Open

If your not invited to Angela or Jackie’s party then you can get your own friends together and make this fun project or any of my projects.  Now is a great time to invite your friends for a little stampin’ fun.  Give me a call at 435-245-5321 or e-mail me at andersoncandice@hotmail.com to book your girls night out today.

August Club projects

We had a lot of fun making these pages and cards on Wednesday at Club.  Remember if you join SOS Club you will be able to make these fun pages or cards as well.  SOS Club will be moved from Tuesday the 18th to Wednesday the 19th for this month.  Be sure to contact me asap if you want to come.  Click here for the other pages and all the details.

This month we used the all in the family set.  Remember right now when you buy this set you can get a set of free buttons.  This is good for any $35.00 purchase in the growing up section of the catalog.  Click here for more details.

Club Aug Family PageThe all in the family set is a perfect set to use with our Stamp-a-ma-jig.  I showed them how I took the thick window sheets and cut 2 x 2 squares so that I could make a jig for all the pieces and keep them with my stamp set.  It works great for anything you use your Stamp-a-ma-jig with all the time such as alphabet sets.

Brandi C'09This fun layout came from a page that my up-line Brandi made for a 12 x 12 swap from convention.

Janice C'09Here is the fun page she made using the under the stars set which is also part of the growing up section of the catalog.

When we were going the other convention swaps we noticed another page that uses the same layout.  It was done by my other up-line Janice.  I love it when you can use the same layout to create three different and great pages.  Remember when you need some inspiration just turn to our great catalog.  Find a layout you like then pick a color scheme and a Stamp Set.  You’ll have your own unique creation in no time.

Club Aug Happy Together

Here are the cards that our members got to make.  It hard to see but the happy together is made with a fun new technique that I learned at convention.  I used the bone folder to curl the piece just like you would ribbon on a present.  I wanted it curled two directions so I started in the middle and went one way then I flipped it over and went the other way.

Club Aug Birthday CardNotice that I also used the piercing tool on the cards and the pages.  I love that the piercing tool is finally avalible by itself.  Be sure to order this great tool for your own projects.

Remember you can get the cute buttons like shown on the birthday card for free with your $35.00 purchase from the growing up section.  This offer ends August 31st so call me today 435-245-5321.  Click here to check out the great growning up promotions.
