Back from Convention

I’m back from Convention and so excited to share everything with you.  Convention was fabulous as usual.  Of course there were tons of great ideas.  I did my swaps again this year so I thought I would share them with you.  I was in charge of three different swaps this year: a fabric swap using the Big Shot, a 3D swap and a 12 x 12 Double Scrapbook Layout.  So far I have the fabric swaps up so you can check them out.  Just image how much fun you could have making these projects with your own Big Shot.  I’d love to show you how just give me a call, plus you can check out all these great projects in person.

Swapping Saturday 3-21-09

I’ve mentioned several times that I went to a great meeting on the 13thof March.  This was hosted by up-line Brandi Barnard.  One of my favorite things about meetings is swapping withothers. Swapping Saturday 3-14-09

thank-you-buterfly-dieThis was my swap from our group meeting on the 13th.  I was so excited to use some of the product from the new occasions mini catalog.  I loved that the butterfly matched the butterfly die cut.  I stamped on the die cut butterfly after I cut it out.  I also used directly to paper technique to add a little more to the edge.  I created the antlers by cutting off the side of the white 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon.  Then I pulled out some of the fibers.  This is what I used to tie around the butterfly.

Swapping Saturday 3-7-09

sparkling-flowerI received this card in a swap as well and have always loved it.  Sorry I don’t know who created it. 

I really wish that you could see it better but the flower in the center is covered with glitter and it just really sparkles.  I am really drawn to the effect that is created by cutting apart the paper after is was stamped.  I just really like the look of this card.

I think the flowers were colored in with a blender pen since two of them are in-colors I belive.  You could also use a Aqua painter.  The yellow was probably colored with a marker.

praying-for-youThis was another card from our Shoebox swap.  This card is actually the one that one.  I think it is so pretty.  I love how she put the little beads on the flowers.  I’m sorry I can’t think of her name right now.  I’ll post it when I remember it.  I think it is so pretty now.  I love the stamp set.
