We used the same ideas on the cards.
This card matches the pages. I showed them lots of fun ways to use our awesome Shimmer Paints. We sprayed them on, stamped with them and sponged them onto the paper.
To create this awesome background we started by stamping the flower on white paper with versa mark then we embossed it with clear embossing powder. Next we stamped the rest of our images (except for the bird). Then we sponged the center with Sahara Sand and the outside edges with Basic Grey. Then we stamped our bird in Basic Black.
Once we were done with the stamping we ran it through the Big Shot to get the fun embossing on it. Then we blended everything together using the Frost White Shimmer Paint and our awesome sponges.
Here’s our second card. The background was created the same way only this time we used the Champagne Mist Shimmer spray. The colors on this were Marina Mist and Soft Suede. You can’t see it very well but the Eiffel Tower was stamped in Early Espresso then sponged with the Champagne Mist to give it a fun sparkle. Sorry the pictures really don’t do these cards justice. Just a note this technique does not work with the Platinum.
As a special bonus I have a few of these kits left. Anyone who contact me to come to the Saturday club and check it out will also get to make these cards as a bonus.
My Club Members (those that come every month) also get to make a bonus project. This is the fun project they got to make. It features the new Snowflake Soiree from the fabulous Holiday Catalog.
I know it’s a bit early for Let It Snow, but I love how the Shimmer Paint works so well with this stamp set. We stamped the small snowflake with the Platinum Shimmer Spray by using a sponge dauber to apply it to the stamp. Then the whole thing in sprayed with platinum shimmer paint. We made it sparkle just a little more with the Dazzling Details Silver Sparkle from the Holiday Catalog to all the letters, then added a few Pearls the the centers of some of the snowflakes.
