Each year Stampin’ Up! has a contest called the Artisan Award. It is for any demonstrator who wants to enter her creative projects. This will be their third year and I have entered every year. I can’t show the current projects I’m working on until after the contest is over, but I thought I could show you the old projects.
To enter you need to create two 3D items, three single page scrapbook layouts, and 5 cards. It’s a lot of work but if you win it’s well worth it. I haven’t won yet, but I have had several things displayed by Stampin’ Up! so I figure I must be getting closer. Here’s my entries from the last two years.
2008 3D project
This was by far one of my favorite 3D items that I made. It’s a book that flips out and has lots of fun pockets. It was displayed at convention last year. You can click here to see the whole book.

2008 3D project
These were fun paper boxes that I made. They were designed to sit on your desk and hold your stampin’ supplies and look cute at the same time.

I really love how this page turned out. This is my husband Marc. We went to Barelake one Saturday and he had a blast windsurfing. I was surprised that I was able to get all these good pictures. He was really far out there.

This is my boys the summer that Xander was born. All of them played baseball that year and Xander was born right in the middle of the season. I think he went to his first game at 3 days old. I just had to get pictures of all of them in their uniforms. I even bought one for Xander.

Here is my sweet Xander asleep in the swing. If I could only contain him like that again it would be great.

2008 Card
This card was an inspiration from a magazine add. I’m really sad that the hi and hello is retiring.

I did a similar announcement to this for Xander’s Baby Announcement. I really liked how it turned out so I decided to use it for the contest.

2007 3D project
I really wish that I had a copy of this project. It was my first year and I didn’t get two of them made. I was so excited to see it at displayed at convention. Marc said it was fun to listen to people comment on it.

2007 3D
project
I loved this project. I made it for club one time and everyone said I should enter it into a contest. This was my own design. It’s pretty simple. It’s just paper that is scored to wrap around the package. When you pull out the ribbon you can see the words bugs and kisses and it’s filled with Hershey Kisses and gummy worms and bugs. This one was also displayed at convention.
2007 Page
This is probably one of my favorite pages. I wish I had a copy, but I have the pattern for the Mikey so I can still make the page. The Mickey is all made with Stampin’ Up! products. Mostly the coluzzle. I didn’t hand draw any of it even though I could have. I wanted anyone to be able to make it. OK I did draw the mouth and the laugh lines.

2007 Page
This page is really fun because when you pull up on the Ahoy Matey it lifts up the bird and reveals the treasure box hidden in the sand. This is my boys when they went to a pirate party.

When Marc and I went to Hawaii we had the chance to go Snuba Diving which is a cross between Scuba Diving and Snorkeling. It was lots of fun. I know it’s hard to see but there are little dry embossed bubble behind the whole page. The fish are reversed by stamping on clear plastic then turned around and colored from the back side with water color wonder crayons.

This is a traditional slider card. It was fun to make with the snowman because I could make him look really tall.

This is a double magic card. When you pull it up it colors the balloons and you can see the message.
