Convention Swaps 2010

Here are the fun swaps I got at Convention this year.  I was in charge of three different ones.  I had a 12 x 12 Double Page Layout, a Fabric Swap and a 3D swap.  Everyone did such great work.  I hope that I got all the names right, please let me know if I didn’t and I will fix it.  Thanks so much to everyone that participated.

Fabric Swap- These are all fun projects made using the Big Shot and Fabric

This fun guy is mine.  I originally made him out of a paper bag.  I like him much better out of fabric.  My three year old loves him.  He’s a very fun puppet.  He’s made with the pendent die, the ovals and the circle dies.

I love these baby blocks.  They are made with the scallop square die.  The ribbons in it are fun for baby and the best part is it has a bell in the middle of it so it rings when you shake it.  I’m not sure who it was by.

Here’s some fun tie die towels made by Lisa Johnson.  The Convention theme this year was “Love What You Do” and they had a fun Flower Power Party.  I love that she made a tie die shirt to go with it.  She used the scallop Circle Dies.  So cute.

How cute is this.  Wouldn’t it just make the best gift.  Of course it’s made with the butterfly dies and was made by my awesome up-line Janice Barlow.

This beautiful feather hair piece was made by Deb Valder.  I’m pretty sure she used the circle die to make it.  I love the brad in the middle.

Isn’t this flower pin beautiful.  I love the textures of fabric she used, plus all the layers.  She even used one of our great buttons in the middle.  Lynda Day made this using the Flower Layers Die.

I’m so loving this pin cushion, especially since I needed one.  It’s made using the scallop circle die, the ovals and the circles.  It was made by Jen Boucher.  It even has our fabulous ribbon around the bottom with Velcro so you can attach it to your arm.

Wouldn’t you just love to have a full table of these place mats?  I know I would, they are adorable.  You could make them with any of our great flower dies.  She even used our ribbon for the stems and our cute buttons for the center.  Sorry I’m not sure who made this one.

.

Smile is exactly what I think of when I see this fun project.  I just love this frame and think it’s perfect to share anywhere in the house.  Ashley VanCamp made this cute project using the Flower Folds Die.  She also used our great ribbon and buttons.

Melissa Shipman and Courtney Alvord were my other two swappers, but I’m not sure which projects were there’s.  Fabric is a bit harder to put your name on.  Thanks again girls you all did a fabulous job.

That’s all for now be watching for the fun 3D projects and the 12 x 12 pages.

.

One of the other swaps I hosted at Convention was a 3D swap.  I love this one because I get lots of great class ideas.

First is mine.  This one is a large star book that features one of our new Designer Series papers I believe it’s Greenhouse Gala.   This is the front of the book.  Each one was a little different.  I’m made because I totally meant to get a picture of all of them before I swapped them and forgot.  Oh well.

.

.

Here’s what it looks like from up above.  When you open it up it comes around to form a star.

Here’s a quick look at what you see inside.  It was my first time creating one of these kinds of books and it was a lot of fun.

My good friend Ashley made this cute project.  It’s a fun purse made with a 6 x 6 page protector.  She had cards in it as well as a pen.  Wouldn’t this make a great gift.

This awesome project was made by Lynda Day.  She used the new chalk board vinyl on it.  It actually opens up so you can stand it up.

This is the cute project made by my awesome up-line Brandi.  I love how cute and simple it is, yet again another perfect idea for a quick gift.

So I also have to share this.  Brandi also made each of us another one as a special gift using a different designer paper.  What I love about it is how easy it is to make this project with the paper and colors of your choice.

Last but certainly not least was this awesome necklace made by Sandy Barrera.  Of course she made it even cuter by putting it on a card.

Now don’t worry the 12 x 12 pages are coming I promise.  I’m working on them.  Hopefully you have enjoyed these awesome 3D projects as well.
