From paper to fabric

So I just had to share this fun quilt I made for my little boy.  He loves Elmo and so I was looking at the cute sweat treat cups that I made using Elmo, Big Bird, Oscar and Cookie Monster.  Then I remembered the technique I just learned of how to create larger fabric squares and circles.

So first of all here are the sweet treat cup inspirations.

Now here’s my quilt.  My little one just loves it.  Of course all the faces were cut out with the big shot.  I eve cut the fun square with the big shot.

To cut a big square or circle all you have to do is fold your fabric and make sure that it is inside the cutting area before running it through the Big Shot.  Then voila you have an awesome large square or circle.  I want to try making a blanket with the large scallop squares the same way that I made the fun baby quilt.

So here’s the dies I used in case you want to try your own:

113468 Scallop Circle $19.95

114533 Clear Circle $19.95

115950 Scallop Square $21.95

114529 Circles #2 $15.95

113483 Pennant $39.95

If you would be interested in having your own fabric demonstration please let me know.  I’d love to come and show you and your friends how easy it is to create fun projects out of fabric and paper with our Big Shot.
