For these cards I challenged myself to create simple cards using only stamps and inks. Stampin’ Up! refers to this a simple stamping. I thought this stamp set worked perfect for this type of project. I actually struggle not to add ribbon or embellishments to a project. One of the nice parts about these cards are not only are they inexpensive and fast to create they are totally flat so you don’t have to pay extra to mail them out. Sending a card in the mail has become somewhat of a lost art. I’ll say I’ve even slacked at it, but I love getting in the mail and need to remember others do too.
I used the blending brushes to add a pop of color to the monochromatic design. Have you tried the blending brushes yet? The more I use them the more I love them. Originally I thought that you could get all the ink out of them and while that is true to an extent I have found that it doesn’t completely go away so I try to use a different brush for color families. I would love to have a brush for each color – but like many of you that’s not economically something I can afford. Besides that there are some any other products I want. One thing I have liked is that we now have the small blending brushes. I actually prefer these ones. You can find them in the current mini along with the storage for them; however, the best news is that they are carrying over to the main catalog.
