Stampin’ Sunday 2-15-09

Today I decided to share the projects that we did at club this month. They were all centered around the wonderful Sale-A-Brations Sets. We also used the technique that I showed on Technique Tuesday February 3rd. You can check out all the details there.

The Scrapbookers got to make this cute 12 x 12 double page layout. I got the idea form page 4 of the sale-a-bration catalog. I love that the paper, Polka Dot Punches stamp set and the ribbon all work together.

My card club members get to make 2 cards 2 of each. Their cards also focused on the Sale-A-Bration Sets. In fact one of the cards I just copied form page 4 of the Sale-A-Bration catalog. I just changed the ribbon to the Certainly Celery poly-twill from the Sale-A-Bration Ribbon Bundle.

Freewheeling Friday 2-13-09

Today was Friday the 13th, but for me it’s usually a good day. Once again that proved to be true. Today I was able to go to the shoebox swap that my up-line Brandi was having. I love it when I can get together with other demonstrators and Stamp. It’s so much fun to visit and get new ideas.

This was one of the 19 cards we got to make. I loved how we used the roller on the flower from the pretties kit. What fun. I also love all the texture in the card. (Texture plates on card-stock and textured DSP.) I think the project was created by Becky.

Stampin’ Sunday 2-1-09

Last weekend we had a fun day of Stamping at Janice’s down-line meeting. Here are the rest of the fun projects that we got to make.

This is a fun pillow box. I know you can’t see it but we used the new textured plates on it and it looks really cool. The flower is the new Simple Flower embosslit die . I love that it embosses it and cuts it out with just one quick turn through the big shot. We used a half pearl from the pretties kit for the center. The tag is made by stamping in VersaMark pad and embossing with white embossing powder. I love that we got to use the new organza ribbon. I think it is so pretty.

Thrifty Thursday 1-29-09

In todays times we need to make our dollars stretch as much as we can. That’s why I love this project and 3×3 cards. We made at Janice’s meeting.

You can get 8 cards out of just one sheet of 12 x 12 paper. This box is made with just a 1/2 of a sheet of 12 x 12 paper. Each card uses just a tiny bit of dSP. You can make 32 cards with just one sheet of paper. They are fast and simple to make. I love that they are easy and so nice to have on had when you need a quick note for a gift or just to show you care. For a fun gift you can make the box and put 4 cards in it with envelops. It’s easy and fast but someone will really feel special when they receive it.

Technique Tuesday 1-27-09

We learned the technique of how to use our Stampin’ Write Markers to water Color. This is a great way to give a more subtle look to your projects. We used the blender pens to achieve this fun look.
