Last weekend we had a fun day of Stamping at Janice’s down-line meeting. Here are the rest of the fun projects that we got to make.
This is a fun pillow box. I know you can’t see it but we used the new textured plates on it and it looks really cool. The flower is the new Simple Flower embosslit die . I love that it embosses it and cuts it out with just one quick turn through the big shot. We used a half pearl from the pretties kit for the center. The tag is made by stamping in VersaMark pad and embossing with white embossing powder. I love that we got to use the new organza ribbon. I think it is so pretty.
We used:
#114512 Textured Plates $11.95
#114514 Simple Flower Embosslit Die $11.95
#113466 Pillow Box Die $19.95

I love this card. We used the baby wipe and re-inkers technique for the flowers in the background. The other project we made was the box I showed on Thrifty Thursday. Click here to see it.
Since most of the girls didn’t get to go to leadership they also got the chance to make that fun project. Click here to see it.
In todays times we need to make our dollars stretch as much as we can. That’s why I love this project and 3×3 cards. We made at Janice’s meeting.
You can get 8 cards out of just one sheet of 12 x 12 paper. This box is made with just a 1/2 of a sheet of 12 x 12 paper. Each card uses just a tiny bit of dSP. You can make 32 cards with just one sheet of paper. They are fast and simple to make. I love that they are easy and so nice to have on had when you need a quick note for a gift or just to show you care. For a fun gift you can make the box and put 4 cards in it with envelops. It’s easy and fast but someone will really feel special when they receive it.
For this project we used:
113975 Raspberry Tart DSP $9.95
113417 Petal Pizzazz $32.95
113716 Garden Greetings $21.95
109043 Scallop Circle Punch $15.95
114338 Kiwi Kiss Corduroy Buttons $9.95
If you would love to come and learn how to make this fun box then be sure to mark your calanders for my Sale-a-brations Stamp Camp. It will be on Saturday February 28th. We will be making this box using the Polka Dot Punches Stamp Set and Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper from the Sale-a-bration Flyer. Click here for more details.
Thanks so much to all of you who made it to my open house. I had a great time and I hope you did too. For those of you who couldn’t make it here is some of the fun you missed. Maybe next time you will be able to join in the fun.
Because it was and open house and there was no official hostess to give a gift to and my prize drawing was for the hostess benefits I decided to give each guest a special gift for coming. Each guest received one of these fun Good friend boxes and each was filled with a different surprise gift. Once again I used the new Good Friends Stamp Set #113740 $28.95 and the fun new Petal Pizzazz #113417 $32.95.
Then each guest had the opportunity to create 2 fun make and takes. The first used the set Just Buzzin’ By #113228 $27.95. This is one of my favorite new stamp sets. We made a card and a matching envelope. It’s hard to see but the card says “just buzzin’ by to say…” Then on the inside it says “have a honey of a day! We also stamped a cute flower on the inside.
The second project used the wonderful big shot top not die #113463 $21.95 and some of the products from the Love you Much Bundle #115405 $41.48. We used the heart to Heart Punch #113694 $15.95 and the Love You Much Stamp Set #113756 $25.95. The Bundle also includes the Candy Lane DSP#113980 $9.95 which I love so much that I didn’t have enough left to use. If you bought these products separately they would be $51.85 but you can save 20% on the bundle for just $41.48 through the end of Januray. Hurry fast time is running out.
My guest also had the chance to check out my retired sets for sale, earn chances to win the hostess benifits, visit with old and new friends and have a little bit of chocolate. We had a great time. I still have lots of sets for sale you can check them out by clicking here. Be sure to check out the great specials I have going along with them.
We always get to do a fun make and take at leadership. This year I really loved what we got to make because it all coordinated together. It is part of our retro fresh style watch. It uses the fun new stamp set Good Friend #113740 $28.95. It also uses the On board So Tweet #113893 $14.95 and the DSP Good Morning Sunshine #113966 $9.95.
We made a fun box that slides out and holds these great mini tags.
Plus we made 3 fun cards. They are 5 1/4 square cards that fit in our square envelops. I love this great big size.
Everything fits nicely in the fun carrying case. Arent’ the birds just so cute.
I’m considering offering this as a class. I haven’t decided on a date yet, but if you are interested please let me know and I will get one figured out. The class would include everything you need to make all three projects plus you would get all the extras. You would get 1/2 of the designers series paper and 1/2 of the chipboard. I would also include the stamp set. This class could easily be done at home as well and I would include full color instructions. The cost would be $55.00 (including the stamp set). Please email me at andersoncandice@hotmail.com if you are interested.
I had a meeting on Saturday and I was asked to demonstrate and new technique. She explained it to me over the phone and sent me a few pictures then I had to figure it out. This technique was so easy and I loved it. I also love that it looks really complicated. I debated on which category to post my samples in. I finally decided on Stamping Sunday because I think I’m going to use this fun technique for club. I still have a few openings so if you want to come and learn how to do this great technique come and check out club. Click here to find out more info on club.
The technique is called faux leather so I started to think of what kinds of things I could do that would have a leathered look. My first thought was an alligator. So I started playing with punches and came up with this fun alligator. Then the page just developed from that. All the letters are also done with this great technique and then I cut them out using the big shot serif alphabet #113464 $149.95. I really love how the page turned out. I can’t wait to put some of our pictures on it from Animal Kingdom. I used the Wild About You set #115110 $25.95. The paper is #112164 Chocolate Chip Patterns DSP $9.95 and #112160 Old Olive Patterns DSP $9.95.
The project that was shown to me was a purse so this is what I came up with. Once again I used the big shot and this time I used the top note die #113463 $21.95. The basic purse is made with 2 dies and the top is done with the faux leather and then folded over. I used the awesome Filigree Designer Brads #112577 $5.95 to dress it up a bit and give it the girly girl look. Underneath the brad is a piece of Velcro so it’s easy to open. I stamped on it with Doodle This #114954 $33.95 and used Tombow Glue #110755 $3.95 to apply Dazzling Diamonds glitter #102023 $4.50 to give it a little sparkle. The butterfly is from the set Dreams du Jour #111624 $18.95. It’s wings are also touched with glitter. I filled a cellophane bag with chocolates so it makes a great gift for any girl.
My last project was these fun elephants. I got the idea from one of my favorite blogs Inking Idaho. If you want to check out the actual post you can click here. I believe it was idea from several other talented demonstrators. I believe the name of the talented person that came up with this darling nugget box is Kelly Sampson. I followed some of the links and found her website. She has a whole family of these great critters. You can check it out by clicking here. They are designed to hold a little chocolate nugget.
