This fun event is for anyone who is already on my team or would be interested in becoming part of my team. The Stampin’ Up! family is a great place to learn business tips, get fun new stampin’ ideas, find a support system and build lasting friendships.

We’ll teach you how to build a game plan for your business, whether you are in it just to support your habit, want to pay a few bills, want some extra cash for Christmas or want to make it your career, we can help you.

We will also be having dinner so plan to come and have some fun.
Guest are welcome just let me know you are coming.

There will be a swap if you want to participate.
Please bring full cards and remember to use current Stampin’ Up! product only. New mini catalog swaps would be great, but aren’t required. There will be a prize for the best swap. Plan 6-8 cards.

Please bring a 3 ring binder to put your notes in, a notebook, your camera and your planner. There will be a free gift for each person that brings them.

August Club projects

We had a lot of fun making these pages and cards on Wednesday at Club. Remember if you join SOS Club you will be able to make these fun pages or cards as well. SOS Club will be moved from Tuesday the 18th to Wednesday the 19th for this month. Be sure to contact me asap if you want to come. Click here for the other pages and all the details.

This month we used the all in the family set. Remember right now when you buy this set you can get a set of free buttons. This is good for any $35.00 purchase in the growing up section of the catalog. Click here for more details.

The all in the family set is a perfect set to use with our Stamp-a-ma-jig. I showed them how I took the thick window sheets and cut 2 x 2 squares so that I could make a jig for all the pieces and keep them with my stamp set. It works great for anything you use your Stamp-a-ma-jig with all the time such as alphabet sets.

This fun layout came from a page that my up-line Brandi made for a 12 x 12 swap from convention.

Here is the fun page she made using the under the stars set which is also part of the growing up section of the catalog.

When we were going the other convention swaps we noticed another page that uses the same layout. It was done by my other up-line Janice. I love it when you can use the same layout to create three different and great pages. Remember when you need some inspiration just turn to our great catalog. Find a layout you like then pick a color scheme and a Stamp Set. You’ll have your own unique creation in no time.

Here are the cards that our members got to make. It hard to see but the happy together is made with a fun new technique that I learned at convention. I used the bone folder to curl the piece just like you would ribbon on a present. I wanted it curled two directions so I started in the middle and went one way then I flipped it over and went the other way.

Notice that I also used the piercing tool on the cards and the pages. I love that the piercing tool is finally avalible by itself. Be sure to order this great tool for your own projects.

May Club- DSP

May club was lots of fun. We focused on the Designer Series Paper promotion that is going on this month. The deal is buy 3 get on free on any of our Designer Series Paper, Designer Prints Paper and Textured Card-stock. I love our DSP so I’m really excited about this promotion. It ends May 31st so there is still time for you to get in on this great promotion.

The paper that I chose to showcase is the the Walk in the Park from the Occasions Mini Catalog. I used the layout design from page 6 of the mini catalog as my inspiration. Because I was making a two page layout I actually split the design across the two pages. I wanted to use the Textured card-stock so I used it as the pieces that were punched. It adds a nice texture to the page. Both the large butterfly and the forever card-stock were cut out with the big shot.

I also created a card that matched the theme from the pages. Remember that when you are using DSPyou can use it as just an accent on your page or card. You don’t need to make the entire project out of it. One of my favorite parts is how fun the butterfly looks under the ribbon. You may have noticed the words in the oval. The original saying is thank you. We used the markers to color just the edge and the butterfly. Then we used “Friend” from Fundamental Phrases to add the word. This technique is great to make a variety of different cards with any saying that you want.

This last card was a design that I cased from a card we made at Amy’s meeting last month. I loved the layout and thought it would work great with the DSP. As you can see I’ve only used the DSP for the butterfly and the small background pieces behind it. Because the DSP is thin you can actually corner round all three of the small strips at the same time.
