Stampin’ Sunday 3-22-09

Our small group decided that we wanted to do a wow card swap in Hawaii. Of course I didn’t figure out my card until two-o-clock in the morning the night before I was leaving, but hey at least I figured it out. I actually finished making them on the plane ride from Maui to the Big Island.

Because it was a wow card I really wanted to use something fun. We have two new die that are available April 1st. They are pop up dies. The Cake Pop-up Die and the Ball Pop-Up Die. I pre-ordered the cake so I just had to try it out. It’s really fun beacuse it pops up out of the card when you open it. It is thick so you really need something to hold it closed. I decided to put a ribbon around it that slides off.

Here is the inside of the card. I should have decorated the cake a bit more. I think I’m going to add some pretty in pink 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon to the middle layer.

I will add a better picture with the ribbon around it.

Aloha

Aloha everyone. I’m in beautiful Hawaii. I’m heading out to go snorkeling today. I’ll try to post pictures if I can. I just want to say thanks again to all of my wonderful customers, hostess and down-line. I wouldn’t be here with out you. You are all awesome. Let me know if you need anything. We had a wonderful day today in Maui. Here is a picture of us on our Snuba Dive. If you have never heard of it you really need to try it. It’s a cross between snorkeling and scuba diving. You are attached to a 20 foot hose so you get to go under the water and really see stuff, however you don’t have to be certified to do it. We did it the last time we were in Hawaii and I really wanted to try it again. I loved it and would love to take my kids sometime. I think they would love it too. We had plenty of time to snorkel as well which as really fun.

We also got to see beautiful Humpback whales and Green Sea Turtles.

The rest of the day was spend driving up the beautiful coast. Followed by dinner and an romantic walk on the beach. It was a really wonderful day.

I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse. I will try and post more when I can’t. But I don’t know how much Internet access I will have. Aloha

Freewheeling Friday 3-20-09

I think this baby card is just so cute. I wish I knew who created it. I received it in a swap. The wheel that was used is retired now but there is one similar that you could use to go with it that would give it the same effect. I love to use the wheels as a quick and easy background. Sometimes it can make all the difference in how a card looks.
