Update & Reminder

Just a quick reminder about the color renovation.  Remember many of our great colors will retire at the end of June.  Click on the links on my side bar to see the new colors as well as the retiring colors.

Coming Soon

Remember that the 2010 retirement list is coming out on June 1st.  This will include the accessories list.  Accessories are while supplies last so order soon.  This is also a great time to have a party.  Give me a call and we can schedule a date.  Call me before I call you and I will give you a free gift.

More Fabric Fun – Want it free? Ask Me?

I’ve have fallen in love with my Big Shot again.  Who knew fabric could be so fun.  So I had to share a few more projects with you.

First is my Flip Flops.  I was in the fabric store the other day and was talking to a girl.  She told me she had seen these cute flip flops with flowers on them and thought how cute it would be to make them.  Of course I loved the idea and knew how easy it would be to make them so I headed straight home to make my own.  If you would like some of your own it’s so easy.  You can buy the Big Shot or if you want to have a party I’d be happy to come and make some for you.  The flowers are so fun, because you can also put them in your hair, add them to a purse or a skirt or anything else you can think of.

Speaking of purses.  I’ve been having so much fun making new purses.  Here’s my latest one.  I even put in pockets on this one.  I’ve had lots of people ask me how they can make their own so I thought I’d give you three great ways to get one.

First I’m going to be doing a class.

I haven’t decided on a date yet, I will figure that out after I know who wants to come.  But I’m thinking it will be sometime in July.  The class will be just $5.00 however there are a few requirements.  First space will be limited.  You will only be able to make one purse with two outside side pockets.  The purse will be the same size as the one shown here.  Plus you will need to bring your own material, batting and sewing machine.  I will help you with everything else.

Second you can get one for FREE by hosting a workshop.

Yes I said FREE.  I will be making at least one, maybe more depending on how many parties I get.  I’m down to the end for earning my cruise to Alaska and I need a little help.  So I will be giving one away to one of my hostesses.  All you need to do is contact me to schedule your in-home party and you will be entered to win.  Now here’s the extra bonus.  You will get an extra ticket to win with every $100.00 in sales at your party as well as a bonus 5 tickets if you have a $400.00 party.  If you have a $1000.00 party you will get one for FREE.  Remember the retired list comes out June first so this is  a great time to have a party and help your friends and family get what they want before they are gone.

Check out my Baby Quilt

I just had to share.  I made this cute quilt for my friend that’s having a baby (I’m going to have  hard time giving it away though.)  I made it with our scallop square die cut for the big shot.  It was so easy I couldn’t believe it.  This is coming from someone who hadn’t sewn in 14 years and I often claimed that I couldn’t sew a straight line if my life depended on it.  I’m amazed at how easy it was and how much I love it now because of a little bit of instruction.

Check out my Rag Bag

I talked a little bit about using the Big Shot for quilting and sewing when I got back from Leadership in January, however since I’m not that great at sewing I haven’t been able to peruse it much further.  In April I was able to attend a meeting held by my up-line Amy Johnson and was finally able to learn how to make one of these awesome Rag Bags.  Can I just say it was way easier that I thought it was going to be.

So here’s me sewing my bag.  It was so easy to cut out.  I just cut the fabric in strips and then I was able to cut out 8 scallop squares at once.  I loved it.  We also made this awesome flower to go on the back.  I was surprised at how easy it was and that I was able to do it thanks to the help of my awesome Stampin’ friends.

Then here’s the finished project.  It’s awesome because you can make the bag any size that you want.  You can totally customize it for your needs.

They have also been making quilts, hair bows, clothing and more.  You really need to check out all the things you can do with our fabulous Big Shot.
