This was a great project the Kelly Gettelfinger entered into the class project contest on Stampin’ Up!. She was actually one of the winners. I think the boxes are so cute. Marvelous Monday 12-22-08
My up-line Brandi made this for a swap at convention. I think it’s really cute and fits in the Marvelous Monday Category. I really love the You & Me stamp set which is being retired so make sure you order yours before it’s to late.

Marvelous Monday 12-15-08
This is a basic use of markers. Just using them to color it line drawings. It’s fast easy and simple. I had to show off this card though since the “Ahoy Matey” set is on the retired list. 
This is a really fun 3×6 card because I created a pocket and then put a little bookmark in the pocket. I love this kind of card for a birthday gift because the have the fun bookmark to use afterwards. This was actually one of my cards from the Artisan Award contest I did for Stampin’ Up! They actually had it displayed at convention so I was excited. I hope you like it and sorry this post is a day late.

Coloring on Stamps with Markers
This is a basic Marker Technique but I still love it. It’s using your markers to color directly on the stamps. The sample I”m showing you is actually from my 6×6 Calender. You can sign up for this at my Mega Calendar Event. You can see how I colored most of the words with Chocolate Chip and then the clover with Old Olive.
Now here’s a little trick. Have you ever tried to color on your stamps and you get a really bad smear or it seams to like bubble up like water and not stay even. I have found this is really common with new stamps. What I’ve found is that if you stamp it a few times in an ink pad then clean it off you the color will stay more evenly. I’ve also found it’s better to just stamp it into a really light pad and then clean it by just stamping several times onto scratch paper.
I love using the markers this way because you can get a variety of colors on it. It’s also great if you don’t have all the stamp pads yet. You can save a little money to start off with and get the markers which will give you access to all of our great colors.
One more little tip. If you’ve been coloring for a while then you may want to huff on your stamp (breath on it lightly) to re-moisten your ink so you get a nice stamp. This is also great to help keep it from streaking. Remember to touch lightly when you are inking so it doesn’t get to thick and create extra blotches on your paper.

Weekly Challenge
One of my favorite things about Patty’s blog is that she has something new almost everyday. So I decided I wanted to challenge myself to post a new idea for you each day. I wanted to make it a little fun so I’ve come up with some fun names for each day and hopefully a fun category. I’m not promising that I will be great at this, but I’m going to give it a try. I will be starting on Monday here are the fun categories and what you can expect.
Marvelous Monday- I will be starting with the Many Marvelous Markers. I have a document with lots of ways to use our great markers so I will be giving you tips and show you some samples.
Technique Tuesday- Hopefully I will be showing you a new fun technique and sometimes some old ones that we tend to forget.
Wacky Wednesday- This will be for anything that is different and fun.
Thrifty Thursday- Stampin’ ideas for those on a budget.
Freewheeling Friday- I often forget to use our great wheels when creating projects so my challenge will be to get them out and see what fun I can have.
Swapping Saturday- Saturday’s are usually pretty busy so I will be posting some of my favorite swaps.
Stampin’ Sunday- I usually get a few minutes alone in my Stamp room on Sunday so I hope that I will be able to show you something new each week that I have created.
