Fall & Halloween Cards

This month I had the chance to help with some of the cards for our annual Queen’s of the Stampin’ Age Group meeting. I designed lots of fun fall and Halloween cards and then we picked four of them for everyone to make at the group meeting. We made a total of 24 cards plus a fun bonus project. Fall Embossed Leaf

This was one of the cards picked to make. I love that the leaf is embossed and the wood piece was made with the Big Shot and the texture dies.

Spooky Eyes

This card was one of my favorites. I used the window sheets on the back of the circles so I could put the eye on it then when you open it up it says BOO with the cute little pumpkins. This was other card that they got to make. I also loved how simple it was.

Spider Card

I love our punches and this card shows it. This cute little spider will brighten anyone’s day. Yet another fun card everyone got to make.

Circle Eek

I saw this card on a blog and just had to create it. I changed the colors, but I love the idea. You could use it for so many different kinds of cards. What a great way to use all of our circle punches. I also love it because it only uses paper so it’s easy to mail and very inexpensive to make.

Pumpkin Tower

Here was another idea that I cased from someone. Sorry I don’t remember where I found the idea. I just love these pumpkins.

More pumpkins. I told you I loved them. This is another cute card that I cased.

Pumpkin Treats

This was our bonus project. We each got yummy candy bar to put in the back. It’s so easy to make you could make one for all your friends this Halloween. It is also the project of the month for September. It makes a great gift. You can still order any of the September kits so just let me know.

You may recognize this card as it was from club last month.

Give Thanks

This was the last card that we got to make. You may recognize it as well as it was last months club card. After club I just had to have this set. Now I love it. The Give Thanks comes from a level one hostess set.

September Club

I really love how these pages turned out. I actually took the layout from a page Mindy did last year. We focused on how to use your stamps to make your own Designer Series Paper (DSP.) Sometimes we can’t find a DSP that works or is the right colors. But many of our stamps work great for this type of project. Just grab your stamp and a few colors, then stamp randomly on the sheet. You can use them as accents just like you would DSP.

Here are the two fun cards we were able to make.

Remember Technique club is every second Wednesday at my house. It starts at 6:30 however I’m considering opening up an after noon class is there is any interest. Let me know. Class Crazy

I have so many class ideas and not enough time to do them so I thought I would do a poll and see what classes you (my wonderful customers) would be most interested in. I really need your help with this so please participate. To make it a little more fun I’ve decided to add an incentive. I just love our new Mini Catalog so I’m going to give you your choice of Stamp Set from the Mini Catalog for 1/2 price.

Here’s what you need to do. Vote on your favorite Classes. You can choose as many as you would like. You can also add in one that you’d like to see. Then vote on the best days for classes. Once you have voted go to the comments section and add your name and e-mail address.

I will keep this poll open until the end of September. I will also keep it at the top of my blog so remember to scroll down for new posts. I will draw a winner the first week of October. You will be notified by e-mail as well as posted on my site. Good luck and thanks for your help.

Here is a description of what types of this will be included in the classes. Actual projects and costs will be determined after I choose the classes. I’ve included pictures if I had one.

Halloween Haunts- Come and make some fun Halloween Decorations and treat holders. These treat holders are great for those special kids (or people) in your life.

Cooking Up Some Fun- In the past this has been one of my most popular classes. This is my 6×6 cookbook class. You make 20 fun pages filled with recipes.

Crazy for Christmas- This class is designed to help you with all those fun Holiday Gifts. Save some money this year by making a hand crafted gift from the heart. I will have lots of gifts ranging in prices.

Digital Diva’s- Come and learn all the great things you can do with our new “My Digital Studio.” This program will be available October 1st. There’s so much it can go. I’ve been taking certification class so I can give you al those fun tips. This is a great class to learn all the fun you can have with this great program.

Christmas Card Marathon- Get a head start on your Christmas Cards. I will have several designs for you to choose from. You pick the cards and I’ll cut everything. Then all you need to do is come and make them. You’ll be ready to go before you know it.

Fall into Fall- Get your home ready for fall with this fun class full of fall decorations and great ideas for Thanksgiving fun.

Spice up the Holidays- All of us love Holiday Decor and what’s more fun then when you create your own. This class will focus on fun projects for your home for the holidays. They also make great gifts.

Bear Best Bears- Come and check out our new build a bear products. We have great stamp sets as well as new die cuts. Come and make some fun projects using these great products.

Season of Change- I love this frame and the words. The frame is a floating frame so the images can be easily changed. You will stamp backgrounds for several seasons.

Year in a glance- Come and make fun scrapbook pages for your year. You will make 12 double page layouts (one for each month.) This is a fun way to celebrate your year.

Girls Getaway- Do you need a weekend off with the girls where you can just scrap and have fun. That’s what his is all about. Take some time out and relax while having fun crafting.

Calendar Countdown- I just love our 6×6 desktop calendars. This project is what got me started as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. They are so fun to have on your desk. They also make great gifts for those you love.

August Club projects

We had a lot of fun making these pages and cards on Wednesday at Club. Remember if you join SOS Club you will be able to make these fun pages or cards as well. This month we used the all in the family set. Remember right now when you buy this set you can get a set of free buttons. This is good for any $35.00 purchase in the growing up section of the catalog. Click here for more details.

The all in the family set is a perfect set to use with our Stamp-a-ma-jig. I showed them how I took the thick window sheets and cut 2 x 2 squares so that I could make a jig for all the pieces and keep them with my stamp set. It works great for anything you use your Stamp-a-ma-jig with all the time such as alphabet sets.

This fun layout came from a page that my up-line Brandi made for a 12 x 12 swap from convention.

Here is the fun page she made using the under the stars set which is also part of the growing up section of the catalog.

When we were going the other convention swaps we noticed another page that uses the same layout. It was done by my other up-line Janice. I love it when you can use the same layout to create three different and great pages. Remember when you need some inspiration just turn to our great catalog. Find a layout you like then pick a color scheme and a Stamp Set. You’ll have your own unique creation in no time.

Here are the cards that our members got to make. It hard to see but the happy together is made with a fun new technique that I learned at convention. I used the bone folder to curl the piece just like you would ribbon on a present. I wanted it curled two directions so I started in the middle and went one way then I flipped it over and went the other way.

Notice that I also used the piercing tool on the cards and the pages. I love that the piercing tool is finally avalible by itself. Be sure to order this great tool for your own projects.

New SOS Club

Do you need help getting your scrapbooking done or would you love to build up your supply of cards? Then you need to check out my new SOS Club. It stands for Seriously Organized Scrappers and Supply of Sentiments.

Scrapbookers will be able to make 4 double page layouts that are quick and easy yet cute. You will also get to make the bonus club layouts. The cost is just $30.00 each month that’s only $3.00 per page.

Card makers will make 2 each of 4 different cards with envelops and will as the cards from club for a total of 12 cards. The cost is just $25.00 each month that’s just over $2.00 per card.

This club is a special club. Each member must by a kit to join. The kit consists of a Craft Keeper to hold everything, a snail adhesive, a sheet of Stampin’ Dimensionals, paper snips and a Stampin’ Up! Catalog. This is a $40.00 value. The normal cost is $30.00 for the kit. However I anyone who signs up by Saturday August 15th can get the kit for $25.00. That’s a $15.00 savings.

There is no monthly commitment to join this club however you can save $5.00 by signing up and paying a month in advance. Plus if you are a technique club member you can save an additional $5.00.
