youre-a-blast-cardThis is a card we made at Amy Johnson’s meeting last spring.  I think it was created by Brandi Barnard.  I think it’s really cute and could be used for many different occasions.  The background was easily created using the Stampin’ Around® Wheel.

I love to make gifts when ever I have a chance.  I also love to make the package for them.  I usually keep the supplies on hand so I can make one really fast.  I’ve used them a lot for Weddings, Showers and Baby Gifts.

gift-boxThis is a sample of the box I made to put the gift in.  I love the wheels because it is so fast to decorate the box and they look really cute.  I used.  109688 Whimsy Jumbo Wheel $8.50 for this box.  Then I just used a piece of paper from the Simply Scrapin’ Kit that I created the gift with.  You could use any Simply Scrapin’ Kit or DSP.  The one pictured here is an old one that is retired now.

The box is so easy to make.  Just decide on your size and depth then score the sides to fit.  Cut in on the score on just one side all the way around then fold and attach with mini glue dots or sticky strip.  I always make the top box 1/16 bigger so they slide together nicely.  Then the box is just finished with a belly band that slides off  to open the gift.

family-ssk-boardThis is the gift that I made to put in the box.  It is using the same Simply Scrapin’  Kit.  I’ve just cut it to fit on one of our on board book basics Large#110713 $7.95 for 4.  I love this gift because it is so easy to create and you can change it for about any occasion.  The picture part is sized perfectly for a 4×6 photo.  Then you just put it on a plate rack holder and it’s a darling picture frame with lots of character.

This card is really fun because when you pll the string it pops up and you can set it on your counter.  I’m not sure who came up with the original design, but I made this card at one of Janice’s Club nights.

party-hearty-pop-up-closedIt features the Big Bold Birthday set #114926 $28.95.  I’m really excited because now they have a Stampin’ Up! exclusive Sizzlits’ 4-pack dies for the Big shot that match this great set 114509 $21.95.  I can’t wait to get it and try it out.  What fun we can have.

party-hearty-pop-up-cardIf you look close you can see the wheel that was rolled on the basic part of the card to create a background. (red part)  Wheels are a really great way to add a little depth to a project.  They are so fast and easy.

Here is another great card from Brandi’s meeting.  Once again I really wish I knew who made it.  I want to say that it was Chantia, but I could be wrong.  I do need to redeem myself a little here.  I had a display at the meeting so between setting it up and asking questions I really didn’t get to look at the swaps people were giving me.  Otherwise I would probably know who gave them to me.  At least I might know some of them.  Please if anyone does know I’d love some help to give them proper credit.

cupcake-wheelAnyway I just love this card.  It uses the cupcake wheel.  I love the picture because you can actually see the sparkle on it.  I believe she used dazzling diamonds glitter.

This is a really fun wheel because it’s a line image instead of a bold image like alot of the wheels.  Which allows you to color it and really make it your own.  This is a really simple card but I think it’s so cute and she did a great job.

This is another page swap that I made.  It think it was for convention last year.

dino-play-pagesI used the Jumbo Roller Spot On #107559 $8.50 for the side piece then finished the rest of it with our fun dinosaur set Prehistoric Pals #111106 for $18.95.

I wanted to use the new in-colors, but at the time I couldn’t buy enough to use for all the back ground.  So I used the Always Artichoke with the Baja Breeze, Pacific Point and Tangerine Tango.

The play is stamped with Whisper White ink with our Big Deal Alphabet set. #107345 for $40.95.

I used the Twill Tape #105245 $5.95 to hang the dino tag on with linen thread #104199 $4.50.

I have 4 boys and one loves dinosaurs so I thought this would make a really fun scrapbook page.

I’m getting ready for leadership and I decided to pull out the swaps I had for leadership last year.  I know that the DSP is retired on this page, but the stamp set is still current and I just thought it turned our really cute.

celebrate-pages I pick this page for Freewheeling Friday because I did actually use a wheel on it.  You will notice that I wheeled across one of the small squares with the Whimsy Jumbo wheel #109688.  I used the Garden Whimsy stamp set #109290 for $23.95.  You can find these on pages 92 & 93 of the current catalog.

My inspiration for the page came from the Spring/Summer ’08 catalog.  I used the layout on page 131  and the colors from page 96.  I really loved how it turned out.  The second page was inspired from a little help from up-line Mindy.  The pictures are of my husband Marc and I at convention in Denver 2007.  Xander (my baby) was just 3 week old when we went.  This is the pajama-stamp-a-ram.  We had so much fun.  If you would like to join in the fun I would love you to join my team.  I’d be happy to give you more information just send me an e-mail.

Next time you are having a hard time trying to find a layout be sure to check out our catalogs.  They always inspire me.  I save everyone of them and remember to pre-order your new Spring/Summer ’09 catalog today.  Click here for more info.
