Thrifty Thursday 2-12-09
Today we had to make lots of Valentine’s for my son’s classes. So we decided to make the same fun project. My son, Mikey had a lot of fun helping to make them. Then we put them in bags so the candy would stay in when he gave them out. I love making the Valentine’s because they get something fun and different.
It was also nice because one of my other sons told me last minute that he need some as well. He’s in middle school so I didn’t think he needed them. Thankfully I had extra Candy and Paper already so it was easy to make more for him. Once again Stampin’ Up!© saves the day.

Wacky Wednesday 2-11-09
So today was club and I decided to make each member a cute little Valentine. The projects we were making would take a bit of time so this time I made this little gift for each of them before hand. I hope the know how much I appreciate each of them.
This is a sample that we made for one of my parties. They loved it. The heart is made using the Big Shot Petal Card and folding up the two bottom ones to make a pocket. I saw this idea at leadership and loved it.

Marvelous Monday 2-2-09
I saw a couple of different blogs that had a layout called Mojo Monday. Some of you may be aware of it but it was new to me and I loved it. The person who started it decided that Monday’s were blah days so she needed something to get her Mojo going. Each Monday she posts a new design layout. I thought this was a great layout resource. She even shows samples of how it can be used and she has a monthly contest. I encourage you to check it out especially when you need some inspiration. Her website is www.mojomonday.blogspot.com.
I had a lot of fun with this and it was so easy. I decided to try out the new Fleurettes on it. I love how it turned out. I used the layout from this week #72.

Wacky Wednesday 1-28-09
Thanks so much to all of you who made it to my open house. I had a great time and I hope you did too. For those of you who couldn’t make it here is some of the fun you missed. Maybe next time you will be able to join in the fun.
Because it was and open house and there was no official hostess to give a gift to and my prize drawing was for the hostess benefits I decided to give each guest a special gift for coming. Each guest received one of these fun Good friend boxes and each was filled with a different surprise gift. Once again I used the new Good Friends Stamp Set #113740 $28.95 and the fun new Petal Pizzazz #113417 $32.95.
Then each guest had the opportunity to create 2 fun make and takes. The first used the set Just Buzzin’ By #113228 $27.95. This is one of my favorite new stamp sets. We made a card and a matching envelope. It’s hard to see but the card says “just buzzin’ by to say…” Then on the inside it says “have a honey of a day! We also stamped a cute flower on the inside.
The second project used the wonderful big shot top not die #113463 $21.95 and some of the products from the Love you Much Bundle #115405 $41.48. We used the heart to Heart Punch #113694 $15.95 and the Love You Much Stamp Set #113756 $25.95. The Bundle also includes the Candy Lane DSP#113980 $9.95 which I love so much that I didn’t have enough left to use. Thrifty Thursday 1-1-09
Wow I can’t believe it’s a new year already. I hope that all of you had a great holiday and that your new year is full of blessings. To start of the new year I decided to show a very versatile stamp set. This one is on my wish list especially after making these cards at Brandi’s meeting. I think they were created by Ashley Vancamp, but I’m not positive. If anyone knows please let me know so I can give her proper credit.

The set is Best Wishes & More #111602 for $26.95. You can find it in the current catalog on page 55. This set is a great value because each of the 5 images can represent different seasons or be used for just a general card. I love it because it also comes with sayings which adds extra value. You can create so many different types of cards and projects with just one set.
This card is a really great one just to let someone know how much you appreciate them. It uses the Hawaii Papaya DSP #112460 for $9.95.
I also love designer series papers because they give you a color pallet. You can see on the couldn’t do card it was so easy to choose the colors. She just matched the Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip and Tangerine Tango that was in the paper.
If you ever wonder which colors are in the paper they are listed in the description. Sometimes I am surprised at a color combination that I find in a set of designer series papers. I probably would have never thought to put them together that way, but they always look great. If you are struggling for an color pallet just give one of these papers a try.
I really love the ready set snow card. We put glitter on the snowflakes so it sparkles. I believe this card uses the Junior Varsity DSP #112458.
Our designer series papers are also a great value. They are double sided so you get lots of verisitily. When making cards one package goes along way.
They are also great for scrapbooks because all you need is a little bit to add the extra touch any page would need.
