Butterfly Brilliance

After creating my video for my recent post on duel embossing techniques I wanted to try using the Butterfly Brilliance Stamp set that I mentioned my friend Alisa Tilsner used. I wanted the colors to be brighter those so I decided on more of a rainbow look. The card on the right uses the same wet embossing technique I showed how to use in the video.

The card on the left however is slightly different as the set doesn’t have an embossing folder but instead has a matching set of dies. The set has a set of dies that will cut out all the stamped images and it also has lined butterflies. For this project I used the blending brushes the same way to create the background and then used both dies to cut out the butterflies and place them over the background. I will be honest I love how this turned out.

I created this before I found out about the retiring list, however once I found the set and dies were retiring I new I need to share it right away. I’ve included a list of the retiring items so you purchase them before it’s to late.

Retiring Samples

I’ve made a goal to share a new post each day featuring retiring product from the 2022-2023 annual catalog or the 2023 Mini Catalog. I wanted to make it easy for you to find the retiring list as it should move down as I add new posts so I have decided to keep this quick post at the top of my blog for a reference. Retiring List and Color Refresh

It’s that time of year again when sadly we must say good-bye to many favorite Stampin’ Up! products to make room for new ones. In addition to our traditional retiring list we will also be experiencing a color refresh. That means that we are saying good-bye to some of the current Stampin’ Up! colors, saying Hello to returning in-colors and getting the chance to experience new colors in our line.

2015 Stampin’ Up! Retired list is here!

The 2015 Stampin’ Up! Retired list is here at last. Here’s a few details that you need to know.

April 21-June 2, 2015 (or while supplies last)

We’re saying goodbye to retiring products from the 2014-2015 annual catalog, but before we do, we’re giving everyone an opportunity to order their favorites with discounts up to 50 percent off retail. Retiring products will only be available until June 2, or while supplies last, so now’s a great time to get them before they’re gone!
