My up-line Brandi made this for a swap at convention. I think it’s really cute and fits in the Marvelous Monday Category. I really love the You & Me stamp set which is being retired so make sure you order yours before it’s to late.
Remember you can click on the picture if you want to see it bigger.
I wanted to share with you some fun holiday cards I’ve made and some that I have receive. I have just a couple here. You can click here to see all of them.
I really wish I knew who to give proper credit to for this card. I believe it was a swap from Brandi Barnard’s meeting in October. I just think it is really cute and shows how you can use the punches on stamp sets that weren’t designed specifically for them. I believe this is actually the punch pals set though.
You probably can’t see it in the picture very well but she used crystal effects (I think) on the scarf the ornaments and the holly and nose. They are stamped on white glossy paper so they really shine and it’s very cute. The very merry and the snowflakes are embossed . It’s very cute and you did a great job. If anyone knows who did this card please let me know so I can give her proper credit.
I was going through some of my Holiday Decorations and discovered these two great frames I made last year. I thought I would share them with you today since the background was so simple to make. I just used the Versa Mark with our Bold Snowflakes Jumbo Wheel.
I know it’s really hard to see but it looks great in person. I’ve added a close up shot so hopfully you will be able to see the effect. The are really fun to put out for the holidays.
I really like the big one because I can change out the picture when I want to.
Here is a fun idea to put your Big Shot to good use. I love to let the kids make little gifts for their friends at Christmas time. This year I was so excited because I knew the Big Shot would make it so easy and very cost effective.
My boys had fun creating these cute Christmas gifts for their friends. Here are a few pictures.
The basic idea is really easy all you need is 1/4 sheet of paper plus some scraps for the punches. Then you need the little bags and some ribbon.
We used the Stampin’ Up! Exclusive Top Note Die to cut out the toppers then scored them the short way and folded them in 1/2.
We filled the little bags with treats and stapled them to the back of the topper. Then I tied the ribbon around it. We used the scallop punch, the 1 3/8 Circle Punch and the 1 1/4 Circle Punch to create our little tags.
The boys each choose 2 favorites from the Hostess set “Deer Friends” and colored the stamps to get the great colors. We used just one Stampin’ Dimensional on the bottoms so that you could slip the ribbon off the top and get to the treats.
The boys had a lot of fun making them and especially loved using the big shot. It was a fun evening. Sorry it was so late getting this post up but we had to finish all of our projects.
I think we made about 50 in about 2 hours. Hope you enjoyed this and have fun making your own treat bags.
I just really love this card. I saw the saying and knew I had to make a Goofy to go with it. I actually just looked at a picture of Goofy and tried to figure out what shape were used then I decided what punches I had that could make the shapes. I actually used the coluzzle for the chin, but that was before we had the new wide oval punch which I think would work now.
Here is a list of all the punches that I used:
Chin & Mouth- Wide Oval, Large Oval, Large oval for tongue
Teeth- 3/4″ Square with 3/16″ Corner Rounder
Nose- Large Oval, Small Oval, Word Window
Head & Eyes- Key Tag, Large Oval, Slit Punch
Hair & Ears- Large Oval
Hat- Small Oval, Large Oval, Key tag
I think that’s everything. I hope you like him I thought he turned out cute.
