This weekend was spent with my fun stampin’ friends at Amy Johnson’s Annual meeting. We had a great time. I learned so much as I always do so be watching for some fun new ideas. Plus there were some really fabulous swaps. I will get things posted soon. I need to download the pictures. I just wanted to give you a little heads up and say thank you to all the wonderful presenters and to Amy for putting on such an inspirational meeting. A Sad Day
Yesterday was a sad day for me as I found out several of my favorite presenters at Stampin’ Up!®were among the many that were let go on April 15th. Due to hard economic times Stampin’ Up! had to make this very difficult decision. I know that Shelli’s heart is broken over the whole ordeal. I’m grateful for such a wonderful leader that understands that sometimes difficult things need to be done to preserve the company. I know that we may not understand everything behind their decisions, but I trust that they did what was best. I know that we will really miss these presenters at Convention. I want to personally thank all of the employees that this effected as well as the ones that are still there. I know that you put your heart and soul into this company and we appreciate you very much. I love this company. I hope that all of you will have these people in your hearts as well as all the others out there. I know that they are among the many that are in my prayers.
For those of you who don’t know my husband, Marc has been out of work for the last 6 months. I’ve been very grateful for the Stampin’ Up! opportunity and that it has provided us a way to help make ends meet. I’m also very grateful for all of you who have supported me and hope that you will continue to do so. As April 15th was a sad day for many Stampin’ Up! employees it was actually a very happy day for me. Marc was offered a good job. I know it’s not quite what he was making, but it’s definitely going to help turn things around for our family. I’m grateful that I still have Stampin’ Up! to make up the difference. Please let me know if there is any way that I can help you. I have spoken to many of you and know that times are difficult for all of us. Please know that you are also in my prayers and I appreciate each and every one of you.
I know many of you probably don’t know about the wonderful presenters that I’m talking about. The three that I know of that were let go are Linda Hansen, Jaron Winders and Lori. I’m sure many of you have heard me talk about these wonderful presenters at Stampin’ Up! events. I know that Jaron’s work has also been in many of the catalogs. Their talents will be missed. Both Jaron and Linda have blogs if you are interested in learning more about these awesome individuals. They truly will be missed by many. Hawaii Trip
Aloha Everyone. The Hawaii Trip was so awesome. Sorry I wasn’t able to post any more. I didn’t have Internet access like I thought I would. Stampin’ Sunday 3-22-09
Our small group decided that we wanted to do a wow card swap in Hawaii. Of course I didn’t figure out my card until two-o-clock in the morning the night before I was leaving, but hey at least I figured it out. I actually finished making them on the plane ride from Maui to the Big Island.
Because it was a wow card I really wanted to use something fun. We have two new die that are available April 1st. They are pop up dies. The Cake Pop-up Die and the Ball Pop-Up Die. I pre-ordered the cake so I just had to try it out. It’s really fun beacuse it pops up out of the card when you open it. It is thick so you really need something to hold it closed. I decided to put a ribbon around it that slides off.
Here is the inside of the card. I should have decorated the cake a bit more. I think I’m going to add some pretty in pink 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon to the middle layer.
I will add a better picture with the ribbon around it.

Aloha everyone. I’m in beautiful Hawaii. I’m heading out to go snorkeling today. I’ll try to post pictures if I can. I just want to say thanks again to all of my wonderful customers, hostess and down-line. I wouldn’t be here with out you. You are all awesome. Let me know if you need anything. We had a wonderful day today in Maui. Here is a picture of us on our Snuba Dive. If you have never heard of it you really need to try it. It’s a cross between snorkeling and scuba diving. You are attached to a 20 foot hose so you get to go under the water and really see stuff, however you don’t have to be certified to do it. We did it the last time we were in Hawaii and I really wanted to try it again. I loved it and would love to take my kids sometime. I think they would love it too. We had plenty of time to snorkel as well which as really fun.
We also got to see beautiful Humpback whales and Green Sea Turtles.
The rest of the day was spend driving up the beautiful coast. Followed by dinner and an romantic walk on the beach. It was a really wonderful day.
