Convention 12 x 12 Group 2

I’m finally finding some time to get to then next cute set of Convention swaps.  Hope you enjoy them.

This was created by Jessica Hiltz.  It’s such a fun and easy layout, but it’s so cute.  I really love the color combination as well.

#116716 Animal Stories $15.95
#111254 Classic Stars Jumbo Wheel $8.50

Sorry I don’t know the awesome creator of this page.  It uses one of my favorite Designer Series Papers.  It’s perfect for just about anything from a fun spring pages to and awesome family page.  You can even turn the pages around or switch sides to make it work for you.

#117163 Elegant Soiree DSP $9.95
#115778 Circle Circus $28.95
This set is also available for MDS

This page just screams summer to me and I love it.  It was created by Becky Kittaka.  The color combination’s are so fun and have so much energy it just brightens your day to look at it.  You can’t see it, but the summer fun die cuts are embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Folder.  It really adds a lot to the page.

#117168 Play Date DSP $9.95
#119747 Brights Designer Buttons $8.95
#115960 Alphabet Simple Letters Dies $89.95
#117335 Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folders $7.95

My totally terrific up-line Brandi Barnard created this darling page.  I love how simple it is.  She even created the girl bear so we could switch it out if we need too.  Of course I will most likely keep it the boy since I have all boys, but I can sure turn the cute little bear into a fun card.  What you can’t see of course is that she used crystal effects on the balloons to make them all shinny.  It’s so cute.

#119278 Basic Birthday Die $21.95
#118052 Beary Best Friends $18.95

Doesn’t this page just make you happy.  I love it.  It just makes me smile.  It was created by my good friend Ashley VanCamp.  She’s so talented.  I love that she used the new owl punch.  It’s so cute.

Funky Four

#120438 Clear $11.95

#118974 Large Owl Punch $16.95

There’s two more sets to go so be sure to watch for them.  If you would like to recreate any of these let me know I’d be happy to help you with any of the supplies you need.

I’m so excited I had to share!

I’m super excited and just had to share my good news with you.

Stampin’ Up! was having a contest to help us get inspired to earn the Disney World trip this year.  So they decided to have a Disney contest.  All you had to do was create something Disney and then post it on our group website Stampin’ Connection, which is like a facebook for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators only.

Of course I just had to enter and today I found out that I won.  There were over 250 entries and I was picked as one of the five winners.  I also got a free stamp set of my choice so I’ve been walking on air all day.

Anyway I thought I would share with you the 5 projects that I entered.

This is my fun Disney sign to keep me inspired.  All of the fun characters are made with punches.

I had a friend request for me to make a Donald Duck out of punches so I thought the contest was the perfect opportunity.

This one is a little different.  It’s a giant Genie that I have on my back door.  He’s holding our dream board.  I drew him, but I colored him with the Stampin’ Up! water-color pencils.  Oh and yes I do know that I spelled command wrong.  I just through it in the picture on Photo shop and didn’t notice till later.  It will be correct when I add it to the door.

Last is the winning card.  This is my Goofy card which you’ve probably seen before.  His all made with punches.  I actually made him for a swap a few years back.

Thanks for sharing my excitement with me.  I hope you enjoyed my projects.

Remember that there’s still plenty of time to join me and earn the Disney trip together.  Plus there is the Totally-Awesome tote that you get for free when you sign up before 18th.  Contact me today for more information.  435-245-5321

PS-
I was thinking that I would give away 5 of these fun cards. To win all you have to do is help me get to 50 fans on my “Stampin With Candice page” on Facebook.  All you have to do is go to my page by clicking on the link and select like, then invite your friends to like my page too.  Then leave me a comment. I will choose 5 winners when I get to 50 fans and I’ll mail them out to you. Thanks so much for your support and for helping me to spread the word.

Covention Swaps 12 x 12 group 1

Sorry I’ve been missing in action we’ve had internet problems and I’ve had camera issues, but I’m back and with some fabulous swaps form convention. The last group I did was 12 x 12 pages. There were actually two group for this one. Because there are so many I’m going to break them up in 4 groups. So enjoy!

There is no particular order here and I will try and let you know who did each one (hopefully they are all marked.)  Thanks again to everyone who participated all of the pages are great.   I’ve already used some for Club and I’m looking forward to adding pictures to them.

First up is mine.  I used the awesome Awash with Flowers Set.  It’s hard to tell but the flowers are done with a fun technique that gives you a water color look even though it’s a solid stamp.

This page is so fun and so cute.  In fact I used it for club last month.  With just one change.  Her cute sand is actually made with real sand paper.  I created it with the awesome log cabin spray.  I just love all the fun punch art on this page as well.  It was created by Natalie Cottle.

#119856   1-1/4″ Square  $15.95

Can I say I’m in love.  This page is adorable.  It was made by Melanie Williams and she would say it’s a little Cheese.  I would have to agree.  The cheese is so cute I love how easy it is to make just using all of our different circle punches.  Plus doesn’t the hamburger just look good enough to eat.  She even added texture to the bun by using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.

#117335 Perfect Polka Dots $7.95

On the Grill
#116970 Wood $23.95
#120474 Clear $17.95

The last fun page for today was created by Deanne Henderson.  I love how simple it is yet very I catching.  There’s so much detail in all the flowers.  Off course they were created with our great punches again.  What you can’t see very well is the fun Rhinestones in the center of the small flowers.  With 150 per package it’s so easy to add fun bling to your page.

#119831 Sunny Garden DSP $9.95

Hope you enjoyed them and were inspired by all the great talent.  Come back soon to check out the other three groups.

3D Convention Swaps

One of the other swaps I hosted at Convention was a 3D swap.  I love this one because I get lots of great class ideas.

Here’s the front of the project I made.  It’s a star book that is a 6×6 size.  You can see all of the great projects under the Convention Swaps 2010 they are featured after the fabric swaps or you can click here. Thanks for checking them out.

Back from Convention

I’m back from Convention and so excited to share everything with you.  Convention was fabulous as usual.  Of course there were tons of great ideas.  I did my swaps again this year so I thought I would share them with you.  I was in charge of three different swaps this year: a fabric swap using the Big Shot, a 3D swap and a 12 x 12 Double Scrapbook Layout.  So far I have the fabric swaps up so you can check them out.  Just image how much fun you could have making these projects with your own Big Shot.  I’d love to show you how just give me a call, plus you can check out all these great projects in person.

To see the fun swaps just click here. You can also find them under Samples-Swaps-Convention 2010.  Check backs so to see the great Hostess Promotion as well as the other swaps I got.

Sew Fun Quilting Weekend

Thanks so much for everyone who helped me to earn the Sew Fun Quilting Weekend.  I had a blast and learned so much.  I would love to show all of you how to make these awesome quilts.  If you want to learn let  me know.

So here’s the first quilt.  It’s the one I made for my husband.  It’s made with 10 by 10 square and then I cut out the small squares with the Big Shot Scallop Square Die.  This is the same die I used to make the baby quilt and the rag bags.  I will post more pictures after I get it quilted.  When it’s done and you wash it then the ends come up and and frey a bit like the rag bags.

This is the second quilt that I made.  This one is for me.  As you can see I tied in several of the same patterns.  They are both green, brown and white and then I added the pink to mine and the blue to his.  Mine is made with the Scallop Circle Die and Scallop Circle #2 die.  This one is really pretty when it’s quilted because all the circles just pop.  It’s also really easy to make and not very much sewing.  I just sewed the outside boarders and then glued on all the scallop circles.  I also found out that there’s something in the chemical make-up of our glue that makes it so that it doesn’t gum up the needle for the quilters and then washes out.

I made both these quilts on Saturday at the event, that’s cut sew and glue plus time to visit and eat.  I think what took the longest was deciding which patterns to put where.  I also made a quilt Friday Night and a baby quilt on Sunday.  I will post those later.

If you want to see the fun projects in person, be sure to stop by my booth at the Hyrum Star Spangled week on July 5th.
