Treasured Kindness Stamp Set

I’ve had this stamp set for a while and haven’t had a chance to use it. I love the look of it and how all the pieces work together. For this card I wanted the image to be the main focus of the card so I decided on a Z-fold card that allows the message to be show when the card is both closed and opened.

Because this is a Z-fold card I wanted to share a few additional images so you can see how it looks when it’s open as well as a close up on the main image. One of the tips I’ve found for two-step stamping such as this set is to stamp the darker image first. I’ve found it’s easier to see where to place the lighter image over the darker image than visa versa.

Flowers of Friendship Stamp Set

It’s funny because I actually created this card two years ago for a new catalog swap when the now retiring 2021-2023 In-colors where new. I wanted a card that showcased all the new in-colors and the new stamp set. I still love how this card turned out and my have to try this technique with the new colors when they arrive next week.

This card is relatively simple to create the trick is to attach your individual pieces and then stamp your image. The image is stamped in white craft in and embossed with white embossing powder. Once again this set along with in-colors are retiring. Remember to place your orders ASAP before your favorites are gone for good. Remember the hostess code is listed to the right.

  • 155358 – Flowers of Friendship Stamp Set (R)
  • 155560 – Scalloped Contours Dies (C)
  • 155615 Fresh Freesia 3/8″ Open weave ribbon (R)
  • 155808 – Loose Flower Flourishes (R)
  • Colors – Polished Pink (R), Pale Papaya (R), Evening Evergreen (R), Soft Succulent (R), Fresh Freesia (C), Basic White

Daisy Garden Stamp Set

Want a quick and easy card?

The Daisy Garden Stamp set is the perfect solution. You can use any combination of colors just simply stamp the background and add it to your card base. Throw in a little ribbon for texture and your choice of greeting and you have a quick and easy that can be made in minutes. Remember this set is retiring so get it before it’s gone.

  • 155079 – Daisy Garden (R)
  • 155052 – Biggest Wishes (C)
  • Colors – Left Card – Pale Papaya (R), Evening Evergreen (R), Basic White (C)
  • Colors – Right Card – So Saffron (R), Blackberry Bliss (C), Basic White (C)
  • 155573- 3/8″ Open Wave Ribbon Evening Evergreen (R) – Left Card
  • 159194 – Rose Gold & White 5/8″ Striped Ribbon (R) – Right Card

(R) Retiring, (C) Carrying over

Quick Tip – Instead of removing my background stamp from the case I ink it in the case then put my cardstock over the part of the image that I want to stamp. I then place the largest block over the cardstock and use it to apply even pressure when stamping the image.

Just a thought – This same technique could be used with the Butterfly Brilliance set that I showcased yesterday. I would love to see your samples of this technique using any background stamp. Please feel free to share them in the comments or on my Facebook page.

Butterfly Brilliance

After creating my video for my recent post on duel embossing techniques I wanted to try using the Butterfly Brilliance Stamp set that I mentioned my friend Alisa Tilsner used. I wanted the colors to be brighter those so I decided on more of a rainbow look. The card on the right uses the same wet embossing technique I showed how to use in the video.

The card on the left however is slightly different as the set doesn’t have an embossing folder but instead has a matching set of dies. The set has a set of dies that will cut out all the stamped images and it also has lined butterflies. For this project I used the blending brushes the same way to create the background and then used both dies to cut out the butterflies and place them over the background. I will be honest I love how this turned out.

I created this before I found out about the retiring list, however once I found the set and dies were retiring I new I need to share it right away. I’ve included a list of the retiring items so you purchase them before it’s to late.

  • 155092 – Butterfly Brilliance Stamp Set (R)
  • 155523 – Brilliant Wings Dies (R)
  • 155052 – Biggest Wish (C)
  • 158138 – White Frayed Ribbon (R)
  • 160430 – Pool Party Grosgrain Ribbon (C)
  • 159185 – 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds (R)
  • Colors – Mango Melody (R), Bermuda Bay (R), Polished Pink (R), Basic White (C)

(R) – Retiring, (C) Carrying Over

Dual Embossing Techniques

Today I wanted to share a video where I show you how to create a similar card using two different types of embossing techniques. I’ve created the cards using a wet embossing technique called emboss resist and a dry embossing technique where the ink is applied to the embossing folder. What is cool about this technique is that I used the same process on both cards to get a different yet similar look. Which look is your favorite.
